Fun fact : they wanted Michael Jackson for the voice of power line but he was booked on tour. Fun fact : they hired tevin Campbell to voice power line and told him to try imitate Michael Jackson's voice as much as possible. Fun fact : they created power line as a mixture of prince and Michael Jackson to create the ultimate music artist.

I heard they wanted Bobby Brown. Also, Tevin sounded like Tevin so I guess fun fact #2 didn't pan out 🤣 Gotta give love to Rosie Gaines, the female singing voice in I2I! She was often featured on Prince's songs!
@lelelew2735

@@Amberelyse funny I was just thinking of bobby brown powerline looks just like him and the moves resemble him as well. I always thought it was strange they wanted him inspired after mj with the dance moves but made him not look anything like mj. Also tevin did kind of copy mjs singing style in this gave me thriller era vibes. He doesnt really sing in this style in any other songs this was more poppish sounding hes more r&b also mjs signature is to play around with his vocals and do that nasally thing which he does in the song I2I lol If your a true mj fan or really into music in general you would know mj and stevie wonder are known for how they pronounce words and how they like to play with their vocals alittle and have fun, mj style isn't always about saying hehe

@@Amberelyse also bobby brown wouldve been a great choice but they indeed did ask mj first, and powerline was supposed to be the top artist which was mj and they even did the moonwalk.

I'm pretty sure it was Bobby Brown. Anyone who knows Bobby stage performance and persona knew powerline was based on him. The final performance is screaming "my prerogative" music video.
@lelelew2735
@lelelew2735 3 жыл бұрын
@@ashante190 I just looked it up it was inspired by all 3 lol but mainly mj they wouldnt throw the moonwalk several times in there for no reason. And none of the moves were bobby brown like but he did look exactly like bobby tho lol the guitar was prince and stage presence and fame / voice was mj. Also another fun fact : main reason quincey jones signed tevin Campbell was because he wanted another artist like mj and tevin Campbell is known to sound similar to mj which is part of the reason why he was chosen.

Though Goofy's wife is never mentioned directly in the movies or series (despite a rumor that he says “she's up there in the stars” in one episode), there is an episode of Goof Troop where Max is very upset about not having his mother around-and it is implied that she has passed away (without ever directly saying it).
@valentinaromo6399
@valentinaromo6399 3 жыл бұрын
Originally Goofy had a girlfriend named Glory Bee (Like Mickey has Minnie and Donald has Daisy) but she wasn't exactly popular or had much personality. She was just there in the comics while he goofed up their dates. But when they started making Goofy cartoons, Glory, now as his wife, appeared quite a lot as a dangerously reckless driver. Lots of fans just assume she died in a car accident she most likely provoked.

Abusive parents who think they're spectacular at their job, don't take criticism well and screw things up for their kids at every opportunity because of their enormous ego and borderline sociopathy. am i the only one, as an adult, who still understands max? I think forced trips really push kids away. There's a way to choose things to do with your kid that they like as well. When I was a kid, if my parents simply asked me what i wanted to do as well, it'd be a lot easier. Also making sure your kid doesn't have plans, as they are people too. Goofy should also understand Max, it goes both ways :)

Teacher here! Sad thing is, if you treat your students well and with respect, you can find it right back. Students can be the sweetest. It's the system that comes together to hate on the school as a whole and destroy anything good that we might build there, leading to overworked, under payed and stressed teachers, anxious and overworked students. It's enough to kill anyone's will to be creative or want to do better. It's like they set us up to fail...oh...

I understand Goofy just wanted to spend time with his son. But he went about the whole trip the wrong way. He just sprang the trip on Max without even so much as a passing mention of what he wanted to do. Parents forget that their kids are also an autonomous human beings who can decide what they want to do with their time. Goofy should have waited at least a week, in that time mention what he wanted to do with Max, and they plan together what they could do on the trip. Goofy could show Max what he liked to do and Max could show Goofy what he wanted to do. Then they could bond and learn each others' interests.

To be fair to Max, in the first half Goofy is straight up ignoring everything he actually says. He’s not trying to meet Max on his level and find things that are good for both of them, he’s desperately clinging to idealized memories of his own childhood and Max as a Little Kid while ignoring the real boy in front of him until Max gets mad enough to throw a literal tantrum.

True! Both needed to work their bonding: Goofy had to listen and let go the image of thr child and the fear the headmaster had influenced on him, to see that Max will forever love him and be his son, but is just a teenager, not a kid anymore. And Max had to give his dad a chance and understand that Goofy only wants his happiness, even when he has no idea what it is, because he loves him above all things. He needed to communicate more, too. This movie is gold.

32 years old (33 in October) and this is still one of my all-time favourite movies. I relate to this movie a lot in a reverse aspect. My dad has mostly given up on new experiences in life due to circumstances in his life over the past 10 years that weren't his fault. Because of this, I've been trying to reconnect with him on an emotional level and we've made a lot of progress. He's getting help elsewhere too, and I'm so proud of how far he's come. My dad can seem really cold at times, but if you know him, you are constantly aware of his inner warmth that he still projects in order to help others. He's a complicated man, but he's ultimately an honorable one ❤❤❤

This is such an amazing movie for something called "A Goofy Movie". Max was so embarrassed by his dad and terrified of becoming him. The dream sequence in the very beginning showed that, where he's in the field with Roxanne and it quickly turned to a nightmare when he transformed into his dad. So yeah, Max eventually learns that his dad is important and it's important to spend time with him. Goofy also learned that you also need to find some common ground with your kid, especially at Max's age when they're snotty, backtalking teens. Taking them on a cross country trip to a place they clearly don't want to go will make the entire trip a bad time. That's what I love about it, you can see where both the father and son are coming from. Yes, Max is a brat for most of the movie, but isn't every other kid in middle school?

No but the best thing about this movie is who ever watched it the most memorable line that we all come together to say is “yo Stacy talk to me, talk to me, talk to me baby” Legit in person whenever someone says their name is Stacey this is the first thing I think of😂 defined a whole group of people and I’m proud to be part of it

I'm 34. My parents used to have a waterbed. I remember paper maps, they were fun to play with and see how far places were before Google. The most embarrassing thing my mom did was that she likes and can't help but tell stories about me from when I was a kid. I hate that and it's not aww that's cute stories, it's stories that other people don't need to know kind of stories.

When I was little I remember my parents using a paper map, but I mostly remember using Map Quest. I told my younger sister (10 years younger than me) that we would print out the directions and not just pull it up on google maps. I also told her that Netflix came in the mail; her face was pure confusion.

So many things you remember he had a part in. Hocus Pocus as the voice of Binx, Tino in the Weekenders, Full House, Boy Meets World, Step by Step and so many others. LOVED him!!!

One of my favorite animated movies! I was in love with Aaron Lohr (Max's singing voice) when I first saw this movie. Aaron Lohr was in Newsies, The Mighty Ducks 2 & 3 (Dean Portman - Bash Bros). I was also surprised to learn that he was the little dancing boy in Deniece Williams' Let's Hear It for the Boy. Edit: Waterbed. My family never owned one, but I had an aunt and uncle who did. I was so fascinated by it until, I started getting motion sick on it and couldn't get off it LOL

The goofy movie is one of the best film Disney made. Instead of just having a evil villan who attacks or challenge the hero, this movie makes Max the protagonist, whose plot is a teen who is trying to establish his own identity as he feels others look at him as a simpleton as his father and to get the girl he likes to notice him. Even though he's not the villain, goofy is the antagonist of the story as he conflicts with max with his desire to spend time with him before max becomes too old.
