The only thing I can really justify is that the asspull Goku powerup against Piccolo seems to be him harnessing the Oozaru in a manner like the Oozaru Fist against King Piccolo in canon. The Oozaru has that unfathomable power throughout og Dragon Ball, so I did find that ONE argument fair enough. I'll give it a 1/10.
