You name checked me? HA! Fair play. Sadly, your proposed method of dying in FD6 is not on point with the current draft. But I appreciate the effort. Hopefully you won’t be dying any time soon. So as you can see, I was correct in my assessment of FD4 - it’s a repugnant dry heave of a movie. There’s literally a 50,000-word article I could write about how everything went down. Suffice it to say it was a Herculean effort to cobble together something even remotely releasable. I’m just glad it was the most successful of the franchise… because it allowed us to redeem ourselves with FD5. Now, as to the questions asked during the reaction, I believe the answers are: -- yes, the movie was shot in native 3D, using some of the cameras that James Cameron had just finished using for AVATAR. It was only the second movie they’d ever been used on. To be fair, this was really the advent of 3D technology and no one knew best how to capitalize on it… especially us. -- Interesting note - there was a long debate in early 2005 about shooting FD3 in 3D, as it suited the title. But there was even less accessible modern technology (it was being developed by Cameron but had not been used on a live action film set yet). We saw test footage at Cameron’s company Lightstorm and it was cool, but ultimately the added cost wasn’t worth it. -- you are correct - the premonitions are dogshit. A by-product of desperately trying to figure out how to weave some semblance of a movie together. -- I’ve always appreciated the hair salon sequence because it proved that the simplest thing - getting a pedicure - can generate bowel-loosening suspense within the FD world. And it’s very cost-effective! -- “Clear” was the real name of the former assistant to the director of the original FD. So it’s a real name! Hippy parents, I guess. -- the incident at the car wash actually happened to the screenwriter. I mean, his head wasn’t lopped off but his car was hallway filled with water before he was rescued. I shit you not. -- the pool death IS possible as it was inspired by a real incident in 1997! Google “pool drain disembowel lawsuit Edwards” and the first link is the AP news article. -- fun fact: the insert shot of the hospitalized cowboy’s hand reaching for the alarm button is actually my hand. -- having worked at cinemas for many years as a teen, there often is a space behind the screen for both speakers, access, and often storage. At least back when there was no digital projection but I doubt things have changed. -- yup, the escalator sequence was inspired by a real incident. But ours took place in India in the early 2000s, and there was not video of it. Tragically, now there are many horrifying videos of people getting ground into hamburger by malfunctioning escalators. -- the entire sequence in the coffee shop at the end was shot at the studio facility at Disney World in Florida. In fact, the entire week of reshoots was shot there for cost-saving purposes. And we transitioned into the x-ray images of them getting hit by the truck because we couldn’t afford doing any of it for real. Sigh. So there you have it. Thank you for suffering through FD4. Now please watch FD5 - it’s a vastly superior movie, and for many it’s the best in the series.

These movies are so much fun to watch, and all I'm hearing is that I'm going to love the 5th one! Hoping to get that out in February! I will try my best not to die anytime soon though it is ridiculously hard when something is always killing me in these videos. I thought it'd be fun to make a "joke audition" 😂 I've seen an escalator video from China and it's straight up scary, so the use of that element in this movie was a bit spooky. Thank you for going through all the effort to get this movie released, and even more so the extensive feedback/comment you leave. I absolutely love reading these!

My prediction for FD6 especially since its going to involve first responders, and its already been teased in the 3rd movie the Big Accident is going to be 9/11. Fire fighter EMT or Cop has a vison about the collapse and they are all crushed under the rubble as it falls, so they freak-out and tell a group of lets say 3 other fire fighters 2 EMTs and 2 or 3 cops to get back from the buildings, as they are trying to reason why the one person is freaking out and they need to go back to help all those still trapped, the south tower falls resulting in the collapse that would have killed them, then.....well, its final destination, you know the rest. they already teased about 9/11 with the plane shadow photo at the grave yard scene in FD3

FD5 admittedly IS my 2nd favorite of the franchise, after the original. I will say, though, that FD5 has 2 of the absolute most traumatic deaths/lead-ups to deaths in the entire franchise for me. I'm relatively new to Puggapillar's channel, but I love knowing background info like this so now I'ma go back and rewatch any of his other vids and look for your comments

The pool thing? Actually happened to an 8 year old girl in a hot tub, her intestine got sucked out. She survived. After that they changed the shape of the bottom so people can't seal the drain with their butt.

True story, when this movie came out i went to see it with my mom, and in the movie scene where everyone dies in the theater, the fkn alarm starts going off and we started getting rushed out of the theater, everyone was panicking and almost started trampling each other..... once we were outside, the manager found out some a**hole thought it was funny to pull the alarm right at that spot, anyways we were refunded out tickets for the trouble lol i will never forget that day 🤣

The pool scene is something that honestly disturbs me. I had open heart surgery as a child and woke up during the procedure already cut open and I tried to sit up. So, while I'm not 100% why its solely that one scene that triggers the trauma from my experience, it does. The other deaths don't bother me at all though. 😅

I love how after they find out that George can't die, they immediately assume that they broke the chain, these guys are so dumb that they didn't consider the fact that cowboy hat dude was still alive and in the hospital Also, the alternate ending for this movie had the main character jumping out of the mall window to "break the chain" again and after Janet and Lori find Nick, they immediately get squished by debris Yeah, let's just say they went with a much better ending

In actuality, unfortunately, many pool deaths occur while people are swimming around not noticing anything. It's most often someone drowning on the surface, I feel everyone would ignore a guy jusr sitting on the bottom for some time

#4 is the black entry of the franchise. Hard to believe David R. Ellis directed this, as he did #2. Way too short, didn't expand on anything, inappropriately comical at certain points and entirely unnecessary racism. #5 gets somewhat back on track, although it also is the last entry to date. I heard of rumors of reboots for years now, like how they'd frame the premonitions to emergency workers or that Devon Sawa wants to return to the series. Until that day comes, we're left with four good entries and a lone horrid one.

Actually the pool death has happened to many people in real life. However usually the way that pools work now it isn't likely. I believe in 2006 there was a 6 yr old girl that died like that. Had to comment twice.

Watched the cinebinge interview with Craig Perry and found out this was a strike script. Eric Bress finished this right at the deadline. Was in danger of going straight to 📀 but luckily new line let ‘em reshoot the last 15 minutes. All the death scenes in the franchise are inspired by stuff that happened.
