There's actually a really good reason why Harry still has to stay with the Dursleys. It's not mentioned in the movies at all. But basically his aunt Petunia's blood literally protects Harry from being found by Voldy.

Yeah that’s due to the fact that his aunt petunia is Harry’s moms sister and Harry’s mom sacrificed himself for him so Harry is under aunt petunias maternal protection spell until he’s 17 years old

In the books, the prophecy was about two babies. Harry, as you know, but there is one more baby born close to him... our beloved Neville. The only reason Voldemort went after Harry was because they’re both half bloods, whole Neville was a pureblood.

Harry is the King of Sass, I don’t think anybody would believe a person like Snape if he told them there father wasn’t great. You have to remember, Harry only heard about his parents from a few people and for Snape to say mean things about his father to him would obviously hurt. But once Harry found out the truth about the history between the two he actually felt bad for Snape because he’s been in his shoes before.

it seems like y'all dont handle death very well so take this as a warning: your hearts will continue to be broken time and time again, great characters will die, you will be numb and you will feel like there's a hole in your hearts, these books and movies don't shy away from killing some really beloved characters (like Sirius, and from the things you've been saying, it sounds like you already know about the redhead that will die in the last movie), so yeah, for the rest of these movies: have some tissues at hand and be prepared to just be empty after watching a movie (and id recommend having some ice cream to fill that void that these character deaths will create)

Fans did complain that Ginny Weasley did not get enough lines in the Harry Potter movies... I wish I could say that no one else dies, but worse deaths are coming. Harry Potter did bail on his Uncle & Aunt in the 3rd movie, but he stayed at a wizard hotel until he went back to Hogwarts for his 3rd year... He wanted to stay w/ Sirius Black (his godfather), but he was a wanted man and not safe to live with... so Dumbledore insisted that he return to the Dursleys for the summer (we didn't see them in the 4th movie cos it started when he was visiting the Weasleys). It wasn't detailed, but Harry's mom had the ultimate protection charm cast on him against Voldemort... and his Aunt Petunia, being Lily Potter's blood sibling, took Harry in and sealed that protection. That was why Dumbledore insist that Harry stay there during the summers away from Hogwarts... In the book, the Dursleys tried to kick Harry out after the dementors attacked him and Dudley (his cousin), but a letter came for Petunia and it was a 'Howler' that threatened, "Remember my last, Petunia!" ... Petunia cowered and insisted that Harry had to stay. So, we go into Harry Potter movie #6... the situation is dire. Everyone now knows that Voldemort is back, a new minister has replaced Fudge (who was in denial) and war w/ the dark wizards is coming... Sirius Black is dead; Bellatrix is back in action since her first reign of terror as Voldemort's death eater... Draco Malfoy's father Lucius has been implicated as a death eater by the Ministry of Magic... Harry Potter is confirmed as the one prophesized to end the reign of Voldemort... and Dumbledore is working on a plan to defeat the dark lord & his forces.

Forreal, I feel Luna was payed more attention to and she was just introduce. Ginny has been here since the beginning and the only time we knew she kind of liked Harry was in the beginning of the second movie.

It's the subtle hints that show her crush on Harry and how the simpliest of situations involving another female makes her jealous even though, like Venycia said, in the books she had guys essentially all over her. It's kinda like real high school life there's always just that one girl who has a crush but is quiet af and randomly ends up with the dude and no one knows how.

You have to take into account that they were making these movies without knowing the ending they had no way of knowing that she ended up marrying harry. On the other hand they should have just trusted JK and went with how she wrote Ginny.

Everyone makes fun of Luna. She's spaced out, in Ginny's year, in Ravenclaw. Call her Loony. Because her father runs a magazine The Quibbler, that publishes bizarre stories. You saw her reading the magazine upside down. Talks of nargles and snorkacks. But she gets Harry's story published about Cedric and the encounter with Voldy in the magazine. Rita Skeeter interviewed him and wrote the story.

The reason of why Dolores Umbridge is more hated than Voldemort is because she is SOO relatable, I mean, I guess everyone used to deal with a mean-selfish and egoist teacher or woman at some point in our life. 😂

There is no orphanage for wizards. That was The Leaky Cauldren, the pub where the entrance to Diagon Alley is. Harry HAS to return to his aunt's house for a reason they never explain in the movies. Because of his mother's protection Harry is safe from Voldemort at home as long as he lives with a blood relative. Unfortunately, his mother's sister Petunia is the only one left. As long as he can call her house home, Harry is protected there until he comes of age at 17 (in the wizarding world adult age is 17). Ginny's character is a LOT different in the books. You also get to know her better and their relationship develops over time. Several characters are quite different in the books like her, Ron, Hermione and even Snape. Yes they left out the whole storyline about what happened with Percy Weasley.

Harry had to return to the Dursleys, for reasons explained at the end of the book. Lily's sacrifice keep Harry protected while living under the same roof as a blood relative on her side. Like Petunia Dursley. The last book began there as usual, the movie waited til he got to the Weasleys, who were taking him and Hermione with them to the Quidditch World Cup. And Umbridge being at Hogwarts is because of the end in book four, "parting of ways" You'll see when you read. And Luna is a bit eccentric, and mocked for it. Ginny use to defend her, they are the same age, probably taking classes togeather.

He has to go back, and as long as he calls it home for even a Summer, his mother's blood sacrifice will protect him. His Aunt is blood relative, and even Voldy can't touch him there.

@ 23:31 that scene of Harry's scream and grief was not supposed to be muted originally. According to various cast and crew members, Radcliffe had lost a family member shortly before filming, allowing Harry's scream to act as his own form of grief. Legend also has it that Radcliffe's performance made Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), and the entire crew all ball tears. The raw emotion and realness of Radcliffe's cries and screams was to much for the cast that they ended up muting the scene and slowing it down in an effort to milk those same emotions out of the audience.

Luna Lovegood was bullied by many students, Harry Potter respects her though and actually considers her as a good friend and also they relate a lot to each other since both have seen someone die (luna saw her mom die in front of her as a child and harry saw Cedric die in front of him) A lot of others though bully her because of her dad. He is the head of a newspaper that posts a lot about magical things that are still in debate about being true or not, like tiny invisible beings that float in your ears and makes your brain go fuzzy and that's why u lose thoughts, because of the tiny invisible beings floating in your head and taking the thoughts. Some say her father is crazy and has no proof etc and so he is seen as a joke and conspiracy theorist, therefore they make fun of luna. Luna loves her dad very much and believes in him, because of this she constantly will say random stuff that makes sense to her but to everyone else, sounds crazy. Hermione doesn't hate luna but she does get annoyed at her because both of them have a different point of view on educational stuff but she has defended her at times, tho there are other times she says some things that are backhanded but in the end, Hermione just accepts her. Harry however just kind of accepts that is the way luna sees things and he is not near smart enough to say it isn't true. Ron just thinks luna is nuts. Although this is luna's first appearance rlly, luna definitely is more in the books of course and if yall ever to know the characters better, recommend them to read!

We thought it was really cool and so cute. We felt so proud of Harry!!!! It was so nice to see him confidently lead the class😭.

@@yohy6 so when they're talking about who should teach, Hermione says Defence Against the Dark Arts is the only subject Harry is better than her, got more marks in an exam conducted by a competent teacher (Lupin). Hermione failed that exam because she freaked out when the Boggart turned into Miss McG and told her she'd failed her exams. Quirrell died, don't know if he graded them. Lockhart fled. Imposter Moody sort of died and Harry was exempt from exams because of the Triwizard Tournament. But he'd learned plenty of spell in the fourth year, with the help of Ron and Hermione of course. So he was natural choice. This year he got Outstanding in the OWLs thanks to the study group.

There is a movie theory that Ginny slipped Harry a very very effective love potion. Which is dark and messed up but makes sense with the sad treatment they gave her in the movies. The relationship makes way more sense in the books. And she is actually amazing. Unlike in the movies

Two people they did dirty in the movies are Ginny and Tonks ,book ginny was a.independed baddie ,and tonks had so many more lines and not that you can she tonks is baddie just with the few scenes she has even though she kinda like loses her self in the half blood prince and deathly hallows and she had so many more lines in the.book and kinda was a important character I mean I love her to death she my favorite character but they didn't make her seem important and she had so many funny can good lines in the books like two of my favorite was "you would to if your fool of a mother called you nymphdora " ,and I was never prefic either .... I never knew how to behave myself " ,and they put alot of scenes that we didn't need in the movies and instead of putting scenes that we did need and they like basically cut out Remus and Tonks love story and I wish they didn't kill off sirus his death was one of the deaths that hit me the hardest and for some reason what got on my nerves was when Hermione called Luna Loony and in the books her and ginny basically talk crap about fleur bur she gets all butt hurt when Draco calls her a mudblood I mean it's not ok bur they doesn't you the right to call people names I mean I love Hermione bur that got on my nerves and this is just the beginning it gets sadder
