His acting overcame the flaws in the casting. As with David Thewlis and Gary Oldman the 30 something characters being played by 40 and 50 something actors spoils the casting. It's the equivalent of casting Daniel Radcliffe as he is today in 2022 to play 11 year old Harry. Not exactly perfect as the age difference is noticeable to anyone familiar with the source material.

@turntsnaco824
@turntsnaco824 Жыл бұрын
@@prasannashetty965 It's not like he opened up by saying "Screw Ron...where's _Hermione?"_ Yes, Hannah asked why he didn't want to see him and he said "why would I want to?" but I think he was just riffing off what she was saying as a bit. And ffs, literally in the previous video they established that Hermione was one of his favorite characters. Not Ron. The movie suddenly showed Ron, who was clearly older, and he thought "Oh wow, those two have grown up a lot....now I wonder how much the last member of our trio/my favorite character has grown up since the last movie!" Of course, it came out of his mouth as "I want to see Hermione". But it had nothing to do with gender, or sexual attraction....he was just curious how much older she looked since the two we'd seen looked so much older. It's a perfectly reasonable curiosity to have. The fact that she's a girl doesn't automatically make it weird. If you think it does, you're projecting something. Ultimately, Hannah questioning him is the only thing that nudged it in a weird direction, and she was really just pushing his buttons and he played along as a bit - but it's clear he didn't put that much thought into it in the first place and couldn't be bothered to, which is why he kind of just let her say her thing without trying to shut her down about it. Anyone calling it weird or creepy is taking it way too seriously and looking way too deep into it.

Some book info that explain the various Patronus-es Harry conjured this movie: 1. His failed Patronus against the Boggart: Harry was thinking of the 1st time he flew on a broom. It's a real memory, but not enough emotion in it. 2. His successful Patronus against the Boggart: Harry imagined how his life would be if his parents were still alive. It's not real, but it has a powerful emotion. 3. His largest Patronus against the Dementor swarm: Harry imagined living with Sirius. It's not yet real. But it's more substantial than imagining a life with his dead parents. Harry living with Sirius is still possible in the future.

wow this was such a great reaction! BTW I guess it has been mentioned already, but the movie left out so much information about the Marauders map. It was created by Harry's dad, lupin, Sirius and Peter Pettigrew, that's why Lupin instantly knew what it was when Snape gave it to him. Since Lupin was a Warewolf, the rest of them trained in secret to become animagi (the ability to turn into animals at will), to accompany Lupin during his transformation days. In their animal forms, they were able to explore the castle and discover the secret passages, especially Peter since he was a rat he could get into small spaces. The names that are mentioned at the Marauders intro is them. James Potter (Harry's dad) - Prongs, Animagus was a Stag Sirius Black - Padfoot, Animagus is a Dog Remus Lupin - Moony, Werewolf Peter Pettigrew - Wormtail, Animagus is a Rat. Also Sirius being an unregistered animagus is the reason he was able to escape azkaban. The dementors couldn't sense his soul in dog form.. so he just transformed and walked out when he saw the newpaper clipping of the Weasley family in Egypt, and he recognized Wormtail in the foto.

This animal form is not chosen by the wizard but determined by their PERSONALITY AND INNER TRAITS. That's why Peter has become a rat.

To warm your heart a bit, in my town, we actually do have a bus that drives to the spots where homeless live in the winter and supplies them with a hot meal, hot drink and donated stuff like winter jackets, blankets, sleeping bags etc. A social organization (supported by the city) bought an old bus from the city's public transport and remodeled it. We don't have a huge homeless community (the social net isn't great in Germany, but it works and if people need help and reach out to the right places, they'll get help), but that bus provides good, accessible help for those who need it.

Strong argument for this being the best film. The later ones are harder to adapt, as the books are massive by comparison and not every detail can be in the films, but no question this one is tight.

I perfectly understand why people don't get attached to Harry Potter's world in the first two movies, and I love how this third movie is brilliantly done to hook people into it. Guessing by how Ash reacted to this one and how characters grow on him i'm pretty sure he's gonna love the rest of the movies 👍

The movie doesn’t really explain why Harry was so convinced that the stag across the lake was his father. It’s revealed in the book that James, Sirius, Lupin, and Peter were the “Marauders” who created the Marauder’s Map and that Lupin (Moony) would stay at the shrieking shack during a full moon while he was a student at Hogwarts (that’s why people think it’s haunted), so James, Sirius, and Peter trained in secret to become animagi so that they could keep him company. Peter (Wormtail) could become a rat, Sirius (Padfoot) a dog, and James (Prongs) could become a stag.

I don't know if anyone explained it yet but Marauders map were created by the Marauders, they are sirius black ( padfoot), Remus lupin the professor ( Moony), James potter ( Prongs) and Peter pettigrew ( wormtail). Because Remus was a werewolf he had to transform every month and used to hurt himself a lot. so to keep him company James, sirius and peter became animagus like Professor mcgonagall. They could turn into animals. That's how they got their nicknames, James was a stag so prongs, sirius was a dog so padfoot and peter was a rat so wormtail and since remus is a werewolf and transform on full moon he's moony. They used to do mischeif alot in school especially sirius and james so 4 of them made the map in order to do pranks and shits and they sirius and james were really genuises but they paid attention to pranks more than studies. That's how they became illegal animagus at the age of 15. James and lily went into hiding when voldemort was powerful in the first wizarding war because harry was the chosen one so they made sirius their secret keeper but they switched at the last minute and didn't tell anyone not even remus because sirius thooughts he was the spy and that's how peter sold them out to voldemort and sirius had to go to azkaban

My personal theory on how Harry's patronus was so bright: he was actively thinking about his parents in that moment. He was so convinced his dad would show up. He had to accept that he was never coming, but the memory of them was so strong, it gave him the strength to do that.
@MsAliciaRL

And that's kind of what happens in the book the first time he cast a patronus. He remembered seeing his parents in the mirror, and that was his first true happy memory.

In the books... James is Prongs, Sirius is padfoot, Lupin is Moony and peter is warmtail...

7:41 Hannah is very pro-wizard parliament 😂 31:42 That's a good catch by Ash. That's not Hermione's nature to punch someone. In the book, she's so overworked and stressed at this point that she walks out from Trelawney's class and punches Malfoy without any inhibition. Edit: All your questions to which you desire answers, you'll find in the book. They have explained SOOO many things in the prisoner of azkaban book, especially about the Marauders. (For instance, Harry's patronus is a stag, because his father was an animagus who could turn into a stag. Also, his mother's patronus was a doe)

Alfonso Cuaron is an outstanding director and a true artist. That being said, I still have some nitpicks with this film like Dumbledore being out of character and hitting Ron’s broken leg or Harry literally using Lumos magic outside of school. This film would be my favorite had they include the Marauders’ backstory.

I love Ash' reaction to this, it takes me back to reading this book when I was so young myself and I felt everything he was feeling as every twist and turn was revealed. If you enjoyed this I fully recommend reading the books. Not to discredit the films, but they can't capture everything, and if you persevere through the first two (which might feel a little childish), it's from the Prisoner of Azkaban that the series starts to mature and the themes grow darker. Keep up the good work guys, looking forward to your reaction to the Goblet of Fire!
