a real weird thing to realize is, canonically Charlie is the third most powerful demon in Hell, she was warping reality during her song (everyone saw ALL of that), and despite getting in that fight she was holding back so as not to hurt anyone, she could have crushed Katey Killjoy easily, but Charlie wants to keep up this cute, nice, approachable princess act. Heck during her song you see her dark side slipping as she mentioned torture and burning.

Well I think it's technically because she has to be the black lamb 😂 and also maybe because(theories) she is the only demon that was really born in hell, like she doesn't have a past life where she was human, sinned and went to hell....she is really born in hell without sins....but she is the daughter of the power couple so she has a dark side(after all she is a demon)....maybe Alastor will bring out her demon side more during the show....maybe not....🤷

Dont forget Buddy. Charlie Maigne is the daughter of Lilith and Lucifer Maigne. Lucifer is still a former Angel that started a rebellion bc he wasnt the same opinion like his Father God or his siblings after that fight he became his own realm and was cast out of the heaven. With the hate anf anger that he got he is now known as Lucifer King of the Hell. Charlie could get the former characterism of him and if Lilith was more gentle and nicer then it would match. But to reboot the show and cut of the Maignes and making her a Morningstar is a terrible idea. The redesign of the character is okay but to twist the story...only a slight reboot and doing then a Season. The Idea of that isnt bad but i hope that Charlie is still related to Lucifer and that only the family name got changed...

We even see a hint of that darkness in her during the opening song when she takes on her demon form eyes right at the end. Strong, negative emotions bring it out to varying degrees, I would guess. Most of the time.

Charlie is Hell's princess; the rest so far are damned human souls in this ep. They keep the characteristics of the era in which they died. (Al is extremely powerful, but he's not more powerful than Charlie, as Lucifer's actual daughter. Her lack of self confidence however, will probably be a weakness when the show launches properly.) Gotta keep in mind Vivian Medrano herself has said that of the main Hotel Cast, Charlie is indeed stronger then Alastor, Being the daughter of Lucifer. Charlie is at a level where she doesn't need to show off her strength until she's had enough of you. and considering her sunny disposition that is actually alot more scary to consider.

Think of it like this: The 2 most polite people we see so far in Hazbin are Charlie and Alastor. Question: In a place like hell, where violence and might-makes-right reign supreme, how would one avoid adopting a consistently menacing or troublesome personality that is meant to be off-putting and potentially threatening as a way to make yourself seem like more trouble than you're worth? Answer: By not feeling legitimately threatened by anybody else. Politeness and civility are a luxury afforded by those that are far too powerful to feel threatened by the regular goings-on in Hell.

I also wanna note that the speaking VA’s of Hazbin except for (I believe) Charlie. Her singing VA was changed tho. So if you do react to the first episode of Hazbin and are wondering why the voices sound different it’s because the voice actors had been changed.

I like the new design for charlie, but I feel it doesn't really give the same "innocent" vibe as the original. Then again, I'm sure her demon power moments(like she used a few times during "inside of every demon of a rainbow", which I found interesting that she always automatically had a smile when using that form in this pilot) will look even cooler with the new design

The thing about reminding you of Alastors power is so true. Its rare a character THAT powerful just so easily joins the side of our protagonists, not only is it INCREDIBLY interesting it makes the entire thing with the hotel feel like an elaborate game between Charlie and Alastor. Its exciting to see how its gonna progress

Quick explanation, Charlie Morningstar (She had a name change, her old last name was Magne), is the daughter of Lucifer (The fallen angel) and Lilith (Adam's first wife) Despite her being in hell, it's theorized that she's actually an angel, or at least belongs in heaven (Which would make sense since her dad is still technically an angel) She also has some pretty contradicting traits, she has horns and pyrokinesis (Which may change), yet apparently, she also has angel wings and can fly (Much like her dad), so we actually have no clue as to what's gonna happen to her Guess we just gotta wait for the show lol Also- Satan is different from Lucifer in the show haha

To be fair, Satan and Lucifer were different in the Bible as well. Satan was a fallen angel who actually worked for God in the past and God allowed him to ruin a man's life over a petty bet, and Lucifer was a Babylonian king who was a jerk to his people. Popular culture and misattribution conflated them into the same person even though Biblically-speaking there's no connection.

Biblically speaking, Yahweh was a jerkish war god, there were multiple gods (one predecessor to Yahweh, El Elyon, even had a wife, Asherah), the serpent in the garden of Eden was just a talking serpent who was the craftiest of God's creations, Satan was the angel equivalent of a prosecuting attorney who only hurt people when Yahweh/God told him to, Hel/Gehena was just a burning pit bodies were thrown into after death, and Lucifer was a human king on an ego trip. Then the church's influence, people's tendency to not actually read the Bible, and pop culture conflating certain things then made God out to be the ultimate good guy who always existed, Satan and Lucifer being the same thing, the serpent being Satan in disguise, etc. when Biblically speaking all of that's glorified fanfiction and is no more accurate than a Hamlet fanfiction 400 years after Shakespeare's time claiming Horatio was gay and Yorik cast spells on people..

31:12 I believe the logic behind this is that these are people who owe Alastor some favors. It’s heavily implied that the source of his power comes from forging magical contracts that he can cash in on at any time he chooses, and it would also explain why a human soul gained such unimaginable levels of power. By twisting the wording of his deals or by finding big enough loopholes, he could get the better end of a deal with several greater demons, thereby technically taking hold of their power as well.

An interesting but of trivia for angel is that he got his name from, well, overdosing on angel dust. And the reason he was playing with the limo windows was because he lived in a period where electric windows weren't invented yet.

One thing I love about this pilot is that even as the interview going wrong hinges on Angel being shown to be screwing around while he’s supposed to be on his best behavior, we still get a bunch of hints that Angel does want subconsciously to be a better person. He pushed Cherri Bomb out of the way when Sir Pentious’s egg henchman shot at them from behind, he reached out to Charlie and tried for a joke even if it wasn’t the best time, for all his faults you can tell that Angel could become better if given the proper motivation.

My theory is that Alastor is getting invested in Charlie because she’s literally “One of a kind” like he said in his song, she’s the only child of two of the most powerful people in Hell, Lucifer and Lilith, so Charlie likely has some hidden demonic strength that Alastor might want to use for his own gain. He’ll probably try to manipulate Charlie to align her to his personal agenda, whatever that might be. He says he’s just bored, but he probably has a hidden agenda.

God, the world building for this is gonna be so stellar. I can already feel it. Real episodes were supposed to start dropping by the end of the summer this year but due to the current situation of the whole of Hollywood being on strike (Support the Unions!) Hazbin has been delayed more. It hurts but it's for a good reason. BTW great catch in the beginning when that rando thief stole the drugs from Angel. Angel Dust is gay and often does dress in drag. In terms of what was stated about power, and if there was something about the MC you didn't know about. The main character Charlie is the daughter of Lucifer and Lillith, so I'd say it's safe to assume if she wasn't such a kind person she'd be pretty much unstoppable.

About the power levels thing, Vivziepop (the creator of the show) said that Charlie is far more powerful than Alastor, and is only second in power to her father Lucifer, the king of Hell.
