I dunno, weather you add a new character and here off the focus point, it shows a sign its loosing trend.. In fact, it almost never is.. Ice Age (the first two were great) , Ice age 3 (Dawn of the Dinosaur) was "ok" not but the first two were better. 2012 one is good too, but loosing its focus.. and so fourth..... LOTR, same issue,, First three are good as they are by the book, but after that, it crashes.. They start off great, but they just sustain that.

I agree in regards of checking out Rio 1 & 2! I think you might really enjoy the story. It’s also kinda sad, the species of bird in the movie, Spix's macaws, are almost extinct and gone for good. It was nice how the movies tried to bring more attention towards this species, so more people are aware of this.

Ice Age is that one franchise I play in the background while puttering around the kitchen during summer. They're not the best movies story-wise, IMO, but there's something uniquely summery and nostalgic about them. Maybe it's all that vibrant blue, tan and white on the screen. 😃 P.S. I feel like the reason some people think the fourth and fifth are bad is probably because there’s too many of them. I think it’s a little bit of Ice Age fatigue, which I admittedly had after the third movie and after the fourth. The fifth one I can’t say is terrible but it was the weakest in my opinion.

And also the reason might be that Ice Age movies came a long way from a buddy movie with deep scenes (Like mother leaving a baby to Sid and Diego, Baby taking his first steps, Manny losing his family on cave paintings, Menny's "death", Diego's "death", Baby reuniting with his father.) to more of a blockbuster comedy focused Tom and Jerry humor, gross scenes and unlikable characters in pirate and space settings

I love this movie. The whole franchise is good, but I prefer the ones that have more "heart" which to me are 2 and 4, which I would say I love equally. Then it is probably 1 and 3, and lastly 5. 5 is weird, and jumps the shark a lot. But it dose bring a close to the series, and is worth watching at least once for the closer. But I honestly can not remember much of it, just that it was completely bonkers.

The pirate was voiced by Peter Dinklage who is an actor I hope you watch some of his films. Some I’d recommend are Elf, the Croods New Age, Death at a Funeral, Penelope. He has appeared in X-Men, Avengers, the Chronicles of Narnia and famous for playing Tyrion in Game of Thrones.
