Fun fact One Piece has the highest selling manga in anime history. The anime is currently on episode 1075. The live action yes changes a few things but has to, in order to keep the pace of the live action moving along. The live action ends around episode 45ish of the anime

One Piece the Manga (the books) has outsold Harry Potter, Batman (All Time) and in some years it outsold THE HOLY BIBLE... The anime is probably the most popular airing anime at this time with a similar fanbase size to DB, Naruto, Batman, Superman.... last I looked the anime is usually top 5 weekly on IMDb every time.

I think this is great for new people and veterans of the anime, I recently started the anime, on episode 110 right now, this live action covers the first 50 ish episodes and I personally like this story better than the anime episodes, the story itself is great so far and I’m in kind of the first big arc so it’s been fun

Yea, I started watching One Piece like 10 years ago as a Naruto fan and a skeptical watcher wondering why it's in the same league as Naruto bc they are are known as the Big 3. *(In the anime world, the Big 3 are the 3 popular Shounen animes and these 3 animes are One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach).* The flashback backstories(especially Shanks, Sanji, and Nami flashback backstories), the Sanji arc, and Mihawk were the main reasons why I continued and binge watched the series *bc I just thought the the first 50 episodes or the East Blue Saga were JUST OK.* *(6/10)* After the arc that you are currently on, I thought the series went from *OK to GOOD (7/10).* After the ____ 7/____ Lobby arc, the series went from *GOOD to VERY GOOD...* at this point, I was completely obsessed with One Piece and I realized that this show's quality of writing and stakes and plot were a notch higher than the previous arcs bc this Arc was GOATED. *(8/10)* After the ______ Archipelago arc, *this series went into my top 30 anime list,* the introduction to the other Supernovas and the 2nd ______ that jumped them all and what it did to our main group was just Masterclass writing. *(9/10).* *And after THAT ARC, the series is currently ranked 11th in my fav/top anime list and if you know, you know... (10/10).* I'm currently on 910 ( I caught up to the anime like 5-6 years ago, which was EP 743 or something like that and I recently picked it back up like last year.

The reason Zoro puts a sword in his mouth while he dual wields is because he fights with a self-made sword technique called “Three Sword Style”. I’m glad they were able to make it as cool in the live action as they did in the anime!😋😋

honestly bro, this is a decent way to get started. i would recommend maybe watching or reading it for fun, but there are over 1000 episodes and manga chapters so it nay be better to catch up on your own time, and then maybe live streaming reactions to the new episodes than try to react from episode 1

You don't actually need to know about the anime for this series, it does a very good job of telling almost the entire first saga of this story, have fun with it, that's what One Piece is all about.

One of the main reasons this works better than most Live-Action Anime adaptations is it was made with the blessing of the original mangaka Eichiro Oda, the hair and costumes are accurate to the Source Material and the writers learned from the criticisms of the Anime Dub(Too censored, too goofy, too Westernized).

I appreciate that they didn't hire someone who wasn't familiar with One Piece to play Luffy. I believe his actor grew up reading it, but I could be wrong.
