It’s only hard because the opponent can’t replicate the barrier block while in theory it’s entirely legitimate to place your own barrier block in the exact same place to make the jump very easy, the only thing preventing that is that the opponent has no barrier blocks to place.

Post time skip has fishman island, the later parts of dressrosa, wholecake and the first 2 thirds of wano but other than that I feel like it has way more pacing issues than pre time skip in a lot of parts even in the manga and egghead island has some really good parts but ultimately feels very lackluster compared to what we know oda can write. Like I'm still mad about how little vegapunk actually revealed in his message man that was such a let down.

I've been masked from true cinema. The theories able to be crafted from such a creative and inspiring series of well thought out and elaborate tests to find a champion. What a simple but incredible usage of the Hero's Journey format, turned into a Minecraft Legendary tale with an inspirational message of determination and willpower. I knew the old man would be the old Champion, it only makes sense. Stuff like that is incredible and the vine booms make so much sense now in hindsight. The foreshadowing, the comedy. Awesome writing, characters, voice acting, animation, songs, and morals. Sure, some of it is real simple for young children because it was made as a family show (not children's show, FAMILY. there's always been stuff for older audiences tucked in there). But as it went on they learned their audience, and it felt like the show became about the community. Also, it tackles real problems fairly often, neatly in a magical pony themed package. Seriously, I would encourage anyone to watch it because it's the kind of thing anyone can understand and enjoy and bond over.

Thanks for reacting, I wouldn't have been able to finish the whole movie in one sitting w/o your reaction. Honestly, Skibidi Toilet is better written. I found the constant narration grating, saying "Parkour Civilization" 103 times is truly peak writing. This has nothing on other Minecraft Series, "Animation vs Minecraft", Sky's Minecraft AMV trilogy, "The Minecraft Cannibal Experiment", but it does beat Minecraft Story Mode for sure! But it does have really cool world building, if I go back to when I watched Maze Runner, Dune, or The Hunger Games, yeah this is about the same writing quality as those. The hero's journey was done really well, so well that when I remember this story 'n skip all the boring narration/repeated jokes/plot holes, it was a really cool story that if polished more would've gone a lot harder.
