She-Ra is the #1 show that's been requested in my comments lately for me to react to. I'm excited to dive into Season 2! Season 2 wasn't my favorite. It. was the second shortest season, and honestly felt a little incomplete. But I still had a good time. And I still love Seahawk.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is an American animated streaming television series developed by Noelle Stevenson and produced by DreamWorks Animation Television. Like the 1985 Filmation series She-Ra: Princess of Power, of which it is a reboot, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power tells the tale of Adora, a teenager who can transform into the heroine She-Ra and leads a group of other magical princesses in a rebellion against the evil Lord Hordak and his Horde.

to answer your question about Glimmer's power limitation while the other princesses don't have that. It's because her mother is still in charge. All the other princesses seem to be the complete and absolute rulers of their kingdom (i don't know where they're parents are) so their rune stone is connected to them and them alone. Glimmer's rune stone is technically more connected to her mother than it is to her :)

After last week I just binged all 5 seasons and now I don't know what to do with myself. also, being an autistic person, I do love how they steadily improve entrapta and make it more obvious that she is neurodivergent, it's a lot more obvious in S5, but I kinda want more entrapta. also if you want something to watch after this check out Voltron, animated by the same team and I love Pidge on that.

Have you seen Steven Universe? Or Kipo And The Age Of Wonderbeasts? If you haven't seen those, you should check them out! There are actually quite a few shows with, in my opinion, writing, characters, etcetera, that She-Ra has, so that's one thing to do (until you finish all of those, too...). I asked pretty much the same question after finishing Steven Universe (At the time there was only 4 seasons), and because of that "empty" feeling, I found She-Ra, and several other similar shows. Now, I've almost finished all of those as well, but it still filled the void for me. Avatar, Glitch Techs, The Owl House, Amphibia, Carmen Sandiego, The Dragon Prince, Bee and Puppycat, Brand New Animal, Hilda, Infinity Train, Mau Mau, RWBY, Tangled The Series, And Star Wars The Clone Wars are all awesome, I would highly recommend them if you haven't seen them.

The reason that Glimmer has a limitation, is because her mother is the queen and has the "full power" of the moonstone. While the other princesses are the "rulers" of their kingdoms. So if Glimmer becomes queen and Angela retire, she's going to have no limitation

I'm pretty sure that they cut Season 2 in half to push content out faster. Season 3 will also have 6 episodes but its continues with what we're given in Season 2. So basically Season 2+3 is what Season 2 was supposed to be.

The way that Frosta was in the first season, so reserved, thoughtful and powerful, I expected this problem but with the exact opposite extreme, it’s like when the main writer passed away, they handed it off to people with very limited understanding of his vision or of what the characters were like. I HATE what they did to Frosta, she should have had issues with interacting with others, not because she was a dang 10 year old power house sugar high (the exact opposite of her character) but because she had already become cold and distant (mirroring the nature of her magic like the other princess’s had up to that point) being someone so young and already having to be a ruler in her own right to the most powerful and independent kingdom, that comes with the notion that the leader must be adept in strategy, political none-bias, and a neutrality that comes from putting yourself second and others first. But NOOOO, SHE IS THE ONE KID, SHE IS AS MATURE AS WE NEED HER TO BE IN ORDER TO PUT THE MAIN CAST ON A PEDESTAL AS NEEDED. Honestly, I know the original writer was close with these guys, but they obviously never traded a single note while he was with us. This was suppose to be this grand epic with comedic bits and a female dominated cast, Frosta was suppose to speak to the girls who had emotional issues because society and those closest were teaching them to put their feelings and wants away for the sake of doing what is expected of you. dealing with the toxic idea that in order to be successful as a woman, you had to never be weak, never be the one on the back foot, dig in your heels and don’t back down even when you are wrong. Instead it turned into a generic high school drama with all the complexity of a game of he said she said. It got better, but at the cost of throwing what would have been very interesting and the biggest power house characters into the background. Like I said, it got better during season 3, but that was when the writers stopped butchering the original version and started doing their own thing. Loved Entrapta and Hordak throughout it all, I feel like these people were responsible for the hoard characters and it shows as they have more interesting stuff happening and better character interactions on the whole from this season onward. But the princess scenes do get better eventually as the writers find their footing with them.

Netflix basically released the second set of 13 episodes in two parts, and called them season 2 (7 episodes) and season 3 (6 episodes), which explains why episode 7 doesn't feel like a proper season finale. The last part of the intro is hard to understand if you don't have captions turned on, but it goes: "We gotta find every bit of strength that we have and never let it go"

So the reason Entrapta becomes hyperfixated on stuff to the point of sticking around at the horde is because, as the showrunner Noelle confirmed, she's written as autistic. Social cues and things that don't interest her, she'll be slower to come to terms with or understand. But if it's something tech or First Ones related, she is a GENIUS and does anything she can to understand it. As someone who has autistic family members, she reminded me a lot of them even before I saw that Noelle confirmed it! I thought it was a great approach to the character. 😄

@@Retjlj Not confirmed, no, but I really liked a video essay exploring Adora as autistic rep (not sure what it was, but would suggest looking it up). And I def feel that. She also struggles with social cues and tries to compensate by learning all of the *rules*. Often doesn't understand why the people she cares about are mad or struggling, but is incredible earnest in caring about them and showing up in her relationships. As for Entrapta S5 *SPOILERS FOR SEASON 5 BEYOND THIS POINT* In early seasons, she is hyper focused, but she isn't incapacitated. There's a running gag that she knows what's going on around her even when she's focused on a screen. But in season 5, she's literally so focused she's a liability to everyone around her on multiple occasions. Also, while she always liked tech which is obvs one of her interests, in season 5 they literally had her make multiple sexual innuendo's about robots. Like...they took what was a balanced portrayal and turned it into caricature. It's like, they wrote Entrapta like a person until someone on the staff pointed out that she could be seen as autistic, and then their stereotypes about how autistic people act overshadowed her characterization. All of that, pluse Entrapta falls into the autistic savant trope. And while they always SAY that they value Entrapta for herself and not her skills, the narrative undercuts that by having them care about her most when she's using her autistic savant skills to help them. So that's just not great. It feeds into the narrative that autistic people should only be tolerated when they can be useful to neurotypical people. To be clear, I don't think that's what they intended with Entrapta AT ALL. I just think that's what they stumbled into, especially in season 5.

@@cambriel8264 Bruh she was always intended to be autistic. Her character was influenced by an AUTISTIC crew member. He helped to shape her character. So they always wrote her as autistic. It wasn't a coincidence it was intentional. Also as someone who is also autistic I don't mind how she was portrayed in S5. The treatment of her was bad but she is a good character and relatable to a lot of neurodivergent people.

You are indeed correct that the outfits in Bow's scenario are based on the 80s outfit designs (except that not every character uses the same body template in the new show). There are other references to the old show in things like Madame Razz referring to her broom as if alive (Broom was originally a character), and a few of the stuffed toys were original series characters (like Kowl). Many episodes of the 80s show also used to have a character that was hidden somewhere in the episode, and they would give the answer of where they were hidden at the end of the show, and they pop up a few times in the background.

Here is the skinny on this particular season season two was split into 2. So what you’ve just seen is actually part one of season to season three is the conclusion with that epic ending you’ve been chasing. Also the reason glimmer has to recharge all the time is because she’s not actually the Princess of power of bright moon; her mother is; if glimmer was the queen of bright moon then she’d be able to wield phenomenal cosmic powers. Because she then have a connection to the moonstone

I think it's because Glimmer is younger, in Season 5 Frosta makes a big ice wall and looks tired after it so she might have a limitation on her magic, it seems that the teenagers don't because they might be bigger and able to handle more of it.

It's stated by the creator that she took a lot of inspiration from Sailor Moon. She has stated that. Also Glimmer shares her power with here mom I believe that's the reason she is weaker. Lastly this season and the third season should in actual fact be considered one season. You could probably say the same for the last two seasons arc wise. It was a production executive decision.

Glimmer has a limited number of teleports because her mother is still ruler of brightmoon so glimmer will have to wait until she becomes queen then she can have unlimited powers. Also there is a fire princess and she is called Applesa who dislikes perfuma and mermista so she did not want to join the princess alliance.

Oh and explaining the teleporting thing for glimmer- the reason for that is because as of now she isn’t the queen, Angela is. And because Angela had a daughter who has connection to the stone, she now shares it with glimmer, so- glimmer has limitations while Angela has full control

I think Glimmer has a limitation because she has to share the power of the moon stone with her mom. All the other princesses are sole rulers because of one reason or another (I think Mermista's dad retired and gave up his power, Frosta's parents were killed, but I don't remember anything about Perfuma. Spinerella's, Netossa's and Entrapta's powers are not tied to any runestone, so they don't have this issue to begin with)

11:31 glimmer had to recharge her powers, because her mom is prominently the owner of the Moonstone (what gives angella her powers). angella and all the other princesses are kind of connected to their runestones, but glimmer isn’t, since she isn’t the ruler of her kingdom, her mom is. so she can use her powers, but has to recharge them frequently. hope that clears some stuff up! :D

They did explain last season why Glimmer has a limitation on her magic. And All of them do, we even heard about perfuma’s in her debut episode. Essentially, all of the princesses have “unlimited” power once they own their domain, hence why Perfuma is more powerful in later episodes after her debut when her tree was dying, that tree is the Domain’s gem, and while dying, it was still functional. Glimmer, however, is not the owner of her domain, the Queen is. This means Glimmer has to “charge” using the moon stone, which is why it going out would be such an issue. She does not have a direct link, unlike the rest of the princesses. The Black Garnet belonging to the horde also explains Scorpia’s lack of any power, as she does not have access to it.

I love Sea Hawk too! Hilarious!!! I also kind of choked when his intro scene started as a parody of Han Solo's intro scene in A New Hope; Sea Hawk's personality was clearly going in a Han Solo parody direction & then 1min later Sea Hawk's, personality is TOTALLY different haha. Love him better this way tho.
