To say this film is our generation's "Empire Strikes Back", is completely accurate. This is by far, my favorite film ever.

Good reaction! The thing with Miguel is in the comics and most media he appears in, he’s a good guy with flaws of anger issues and sarcastic humor but he has a sad backstory of having abusive parents who see him as a failure, anti social, living in a dystopian future where it’s run by corruption, and the company he worked at are evil and tried to kill him by injecting him with Spider DNA which is how he got his powers with fangs and claws. He isn’t evil in the movie, he just wants to ensure no one suffers the same fate he went through and projected his trauma/hatred of himself onto Miles and doesn’t want Miles to face the same problem. It’s clear that he might be wrong but it’s obvious that he sees “canon events”as a way to cope with his trauma. One thing about the comics is that Miguel went through a arc about 10 issues of learning the lesson Peter went through of power & responsibility and Peter inspired him to be a better Spider-Man which I believe will be his arc in the next movie.

This movie is absolutely an artistic, metaphorical and an emotional masterpiece combined with stunning animations,voice acting and ofcourse the soundtracks. Metro album played a very crucial role to uplift the cinematic experience. You know that a movie is good when the only complain is it ends soon. One of the beautiful aspect of the film is Miles and Gwen's relationship, the unique dynamic they have during their brief moments together. The parallels between them through both movies like losing close ones (Gwen's best friend Peter and Miles Uncle Aaron),teenage struggle, feeling of loneliness and desperation but still putting fear aside and fighting for the best, both getting obsessed with each other as they felt they might never meet again,sense of longing and also feeling each other's company as they both could understand the troubled circumstances they come from. This got connected to the Gwen monologue at the beginning "He is not the only one!".Such a good bond the two have developed over time. And already the hype for Beyond the spiderverse is incredibly set thus leaving the audiences with many questions and how Miles is going to write his own story and proving the significance and value of the mask of spiderman. If BTSV sticks to it's landing then we will be getting one of the best trilogies ever written. Great reaction.😊

The point is that Miguel is WRONG. We don't know what IS causing universes to unravel, but when an antagonist (like Miguel) expresses an idea (like how the multiverse works), that's the story saying that THAT idea is wrong. So Gwen's dad quitting doesn't mean he "doesn't have to die," it's SHOWING us that Miguel is wrong about the Canon. After all, if he was right, things should have started glitching and falling apart as soon as he quit, right? We'll find out what's really going on in Beyond the Spider-verse, but the point this movie is making is that there IS NO Canon, there IS NO "supposed to," there IS NO single story of Spider-Man. Anyone can be Spider-Man, and any story can be Spider-Man's story.

@@jaderachel13 A. Incursion which is two worlds colliding either one or both perish. They prevented a five world collision in ITSV which would've ended the Entire Multiverse as that literally would've been the single most destructive act ever to occur...Miles already saved Everyone. B. Time Paradox as Miguel was both alive and dead. Though it wouldn't make sense for ITSV that had four living Peter's in a Dead Peter's world. C. Collider went off with no one to stop it creating a blackhole the size of Brooklyn on the Earth (like what was happening on Spider-India because of the Spot)...Blonde Peter warned that's what they'll do if used in ITSV. D. Miguel did in fact break a canon event as he replaced the "Uncle Ben" moment for alternate daughter to become Spider-Woman...Fundamentally breaking that reality's narrative. Why not the same for Gwen and Miles? Because they either... A. Haven't broken their canon at all Miles was supposed to be bitten by an extra-dimensional spider. Gwen was supposed to get her dad to quit. Miguel's predictive algorithm is wrong. B. Miles and Gwen are Anomalies they just don't play by the same rules. Yes Gwen has to be an Anomaly too she is directly connecting to Miles through Spidey Sense that shouldn't be happening that is not normal then it's the most powerful version ever seen in any Spider-Man media ever to detect him across dimensions. Extended lore it's their Souls are considered One (soulmates) they're either both canon or both anomalies. Not to mention the whole if in a relationship with Spider-Man she dies thing...Yet she loves Miles a Spider but is still alive. Then how she was the only Non-Peter Variant sent to Miles's world a week BEFORE he was bitten or Blonde Peter died...Making her an Anomaly before the supposed First Anomaly even exists.

Thanks for going back to watch the after credits scene like you promised. While only mildly impressive at first, it paid off in the long run. As for Miguel; I don't think he's evil, just trying to learn from his mistakes. Problem is, I suspected he's only working with a partial truth rather than the WHOLE truth. I hope they cover that in the next film.

Miguel is far from evil. he has a good heart but he's deeply traumatized from what happened, so he will do almost anything to make sure it doesn't happen again. sure he was mean to Miles, but the bigger picture is that Miguel is trying to save an entire universe of people from disappearing lol

It’s understandable about your initial ‘good or evil’ thing with Miguel. Know his intentions are good just he’s known to be one of most jerky of the Spider-Men variants. Good guy but the harshest which shows the stark contrast between him and Peter Parker.

@@jaderachel13Sadly enough, if you didn’t notice in the credits scene in the first movie, he was alot more friendly and jolly before he destroyed a universe on accident. He’s a jerk in the comics but 200x friendlier. The fanbase all agrees if his comic counterpart knew of ATSV Miguel and what he was doing, he would definitely side with Miles. So yeah people already explained how Miguel isn't evil. Though applying Comics lore is a bit flawed given...Miles Prowler, Gwen x Miles actually caring for one another deeply, Peter B successful with MJ and Mayday existing don't happen in the mainline comics. They're fundamentally altering every character with this version of Miguel being the darkest one yet which he already started as an Anti-Hero now he's a Byronic Anti-Villain. Meanwhile Miles Prowler is the Darkest version of Miles yet...But it's officially confirmed he's Morally Good/Grey as the (Anti)Hero of his dimension. He just has his legitimate reasons to distrust/despise Miles Spidey/Anomaly. He couldn't careless about an Alternate father why should he? Jeff isn't his as his is a corpse already. Even Gwen told Miles that MCU Aaron is NOT his Aaron. Kingpin, Wanda and Miguel all messed up because they believed Alternate versions of their families were theirs to claim...They're NOT and the Multiverse punishes that mentality by one means or another. Always has and always will.
