The daughter saying 'there's something about him' was a good lesson. That lesson was to trust your instincts.

I don't even think I've ever watched the reboot before 🤔 The original is so good, I can't imagine that it would be anywhere as good as this

It's not. I've loved this movie since I was a kid in the late 80s. The sequel was good. And the third was good also although terry o Quinn wasn't in it I liked how he was to have plastic surgery. But back to the sequel I always wondered how he survived to make a sequel I thought he was dead on the steps with a knife to the heart.

Love this movie. This movie scared me so much as a kid. Part 2 was good too. Part 3 just wasn't the same since Terry O'Quinn wasn't in it.

The opening to this movie is dark and scary because it has happened to people or can happen. You bring your new partner into your life and you have to have some level of trust with them when they are around your kids. Their are some crazy messed up people in the world. 😖 Great reaction SG! This and the sequel were late night cable staples.

And it didn't help that Jerry was so charming. It almost seems like Stephanie gaslit herself into doubting her concerns about Jerry.

Hey Sista girl this movie is based loosely on the true story of John List that killed his family went on the run for 18 years he was caught cause he was on America’s Most Wanted. Check out that story & The Stepfather 2 Jerry didn’t die from that knife & them bullets😂 The Stepfather 3 had another actor playing the part. Hope you review those sequels. Glad you’re back sis

Best way to describe Stepfather is a horror thriller. Its a horror film using all the elements troupes of a horror film at that time but wrapped around thriller clothing. But when you watch a thriller it paces and set things up differently to a horror movie and both set the audience up different like a thriller creates tension and surprise while horror builds tension to scare.

I've seen part 2 a lot but this is the first time in years since I've seen part 1 of stepfather. Originals so much better then remakes. Boy do I have a recommendation for you girl! I highly, strongly, recommend a film called "Deadly Manor" from year 1990. the plots very simple.... A group of teens on holiday make an unscheduled stop-off at a remote, seemingly abandoned mansion to spend the night, but before daybreak, the group will uncover the strange and terrifying truth that lurks behind the walls of this dreadful place. Now the reason I suggest this is because girl, This film played with me in a good way. It had me thinking is this slasher murder, is this super natural with ghosts,m witches vampires? it'll also have you mad at some bits but in the end will leave you shell shocked when everything is revealed.

Thank you for the recommendation! I'll definitely add it to the list!
