"how does gomez addams have a million dollars?" Insane, batshit investments. It's canon that he makes a tremendous amount of money on crocodile farms, abandoned buildings, etc. Pretty much anything that SHOULDN'T return on investment, in fact, does so spectacularly if Gomez is involved. He's supposedly in the top 10 wealthiest characters in fiction, behind Scrooge McDuck.

The Addams family are a parody of the average sitcom family (who try to appear the perfect family while they secretly hate each other), with the catch being they actually adore each other. Gomez and Morticia truly and absolutely love each other and are supportive and caring of their kids, and you can really get the sense that despite their unusual activities, Wednesday and Pugsly do love each other.

You MUST watch the sequel here!! The Addams Family movies are so important to those who don’t fit in to happy go lucky bullshit of “normal” people. They accept others and enjoy the base emotions that were so antithetical to whatever decade the show or movie is set in. Most kids do go through a homicidal phase, these movies let me know it wasn’t strange. More media should acknowledge it and show healthy outlets for such urges. Like that sweet sword fight with actual battle damage and blood! That was amazing!!

They all seemed to love each other in their own way. Especially Morticia and Gomez. I didn't think twice about how... sexual they were. Haha. I just thought they loved each other very, very much. I also thought they were great parents. They accepted Pugsley and Wednesday for who they were and encouraged them. And yes! Watch the second one.

As a kid, I thought I'd found my true family. Being the poor, fat kid at school I felt vindicated. I found out my grandma's maiden name was Adams (only one 'D'). She told me that I already was an Adams, so not to worry. Best gift she ever gave me, the gift of acceptance. To be spooky and ghoulish and wicked but still be kind, generous and compassionate. To this day, I am, an Ad(d)ams. "We gladly feast on those who would subdue us."

As a kid, who saw this at 4, it was really affective at getting me interested in the occult. While the violence and stuff was obviously played up for laughs, I loved how strange and weird the family was and how they just embraced who they were. If it helps for the sequel: Gomez and Morticia live purely to have sex. If they’re not having sex then they’re thinking of having sex and if they’re not thinking of having sex then they’re *actually* having sex and thinking of having *more* sex. As for the Bermuda Triangle, I’ll merely say this: bad shit often happens there in unexplained ways. And with Morticia and the light on the eyes, the implication is that she’s a vampire. In the Bella Luigi films (and the Christopher Lee ones too, I think?) light *ONLY* hits Dracula’s eyes. Morticia also never shows her teeth when smiling and, in the TV Series, she asks “do you mind if I smoke” and *literal smoke* comes out of the bottom of her dress… So she, at least, is implied to be, most definitely, *not* human. Also, Wednesday and Pugsley know of Fester, but he’s been missing for twenty five years… implying that *they* have been around for at least 40ish and age much slower than ordinary humans. And the Granny is implied to be a witch - hemlock (poison) is amongst her things. And Cyanide is used for poison too. She’s meant to be a sort of “herbalist”, like one of those nature witches, but it’s more *actual witch* than herbalist. And Great Aunt Calpurnia, who was burnt at the stake, is said to be from 1790… assuming Gomez is actually about 50ish by now, his father (Wednesday’s grandfather and sister of Calpurnia - hence how it’s *Wednesday’s* great-aunt) must have been *several hundred years old* when he was born or Gomez and Fester have been around for a long time and the whole family is, functionally, immortal. Then there’s Lurch - he’s meant to be the Frankenstein’s monster (or at least based on it). Frankenstein happened in the Middle Ages… so if Lurch has been with the family the whole time, they’ve been around in their current forms and shapes *for nearly 600 years at the time.* Cousin Itt… well… God knows what he is? Perhaps the actual sightings of Bigfoot are him? Then you have Thing (Actually Thing T. Thing. The T. Stands for Thing as well) who is a *literal* disembodied and sentient hand…
