Fun fact: Brady and Frank are voiced by Baker Terry, who also voices the Yellow Guy, Duck, Tony the Clock, Shringold the Butterfly, The Steak and The Lamp from DHMIS, along with being a writer for the show. Rebecca Sloan voices Howdy, along with the Sketchbook, The Bunny, and the Spinach can. She is also one of the producers for DHMIS.

I mean I think the thing that really made this feel different is that you had more context with this than you did with the gumball clips and don't hug me I'm scared. The gumball clips are all intentionally out of context and with DHMIS even when you watch the entire episode, even the entire series in one sitting, you still leave it at least a little bit confused and unsure of what you just saw which is kind of the point of that. Where as gumball is an animated sitcom. Sure, it's got some surreal comedy but for the most part it's a sitcom, so there's a story structure to be followed at least. In DHMIS the structure is the episode starts like a normal kids show, some fucked up shit happens, and then everyone goes back to status quo and acts like everything's normal again
