Personally I think the animatronics were less aggro on Mike for a while because they didn't quite know what to make of him. In the second night Foxy just happened to be the one observing him while he was asleep. That lines up with the dream with the kid with the hook being the closest to him. The kids are mostly untrusting of adults so when Mike grabbed him he reflexively retaliated and ran out of the room while he was dreaming. And since the spirits of the kids could see his dreams and that he was also wronged by Afton they were more hesitant to outright kill him like the guard in the intro since they could somewhat relate to him. And they seemed to be aqauinted with his sister as well so I guess they just chose to mostly observe. They interact with kids just fine because they are still kids. But with adults it's a different story since an adult took their lives. Mike is lucky the circumstances lined up for them to not outright kill him in the first few nights while he slept through his shift. They may have eventually decided to endgame him as well if he didn't take Abby with him on the third night. Then again during that night while he was sleeping he did start bargaining with the kid that possessed Golden Freddy so they may have left him alone that night.

Aunt Jane story was also important to the story because she’s the main reason why Mike took the security-job in the first place as it’s not just about have enough money to pay the bills but also to make himself look presentable for the Child Custody Court that Aunt Jane set up

Also, in the end credits, you can hear a slowed down version of the Puppet's music box. Also, right at the end of the credits, you can hear letters being spelled out which translates to be "Come Find Me". Matpat, from the channel 'Game Theory', was the waiter in the Diner.

As someone who watched this without knowing anything about it I really enjoyed this movie. By the way Golden Freddy made an apprence here. He was the one to kill the aunt and the blond boy represents him as well hence his shirt is brown with golden stripes as well. The fact that the kid's faces came in and out of focous was because it shows how the kids are slowly forgetting who they once were. The way they made them all look was amazing and I am guessing they did like they had with M3gan where it's people in suits some of the time and the rest it's simple robotics as well. Nice reaction and I love your Chucky doll keaychain on your mic by the way.

I decided to watch it as I had nothing else to really watch... as simply a casual know by ear and sight individual on the fandom and such? I was intrigued by the take of the characters and the lore behind FNAF. Disturbing to say the least... But as a creative soul myself? I could see how it has become a massively popular fandom. I first heard about it when I was working weekend overnight shifts at my local aged care facility. Worked as an AIN. (Some of my co workers were really into the games and such.) The funny thing is? Whenever I was on the floor? No one would be able to hear me coming. (I was naturally very stealthy and barely made any noise as my goal was to perform safety checks on the residents within my area with little disruption to their slumbers as possible.) So when it came to pad and medication rounds? (which is usually a 2 - 3 person assist?) I would end up scaring the absolute shit out of said co workers when they went to look for me! :D It got so frequent...? The supervising RN would either ring/page me so that the rest of the team could pin point my location.... (which got annoying so I disabled it after a while because I felt like I was being targeted unfairly.) alongside checking the security cameras to keep tabs on where I was so that the team could await for me to come to them etc. 🤣My closest co worker begged me to teach them all my "ways." meanwhile? I begged them to not be so jumpy as I wasn't going to do a single thing to them unless they proceeded to get nasty with me. 🤣 Got the nickname "Chica." (As I used sugary food to stay awake. You name it. Chocolate, biscuits .. and yes... cake... to keep my blood sugar up so I could remain functional.) They used to make fun of said fact until we actually did have a break in one night. (A drug seeking moron... which is a known risk as we do have meds on site.) They just happened to cross to the radius of my area... and with some quick thinking? Such a risk was promptly put down. (Jumped off the nurse’s station desk onto their back, placed the blood pressure cuff around their neck, inflated it halfway to induce unconsciousness then dragged them to the front entrance where the police came to collect them.) :D It was scary.. but very thrilling. Glucose and adrenaline folks... Better than any drug you could do! :D Needless to say? My team were very very grateful when I was on duty as they knew that I would always have their backs. They kept up the FNAF trope by bringing sweets as thanks for being such a great co worker! Aaaah! Good times!! xD.

Great story! I got into FNAF by watching random Let's Plays of the games. It appealed to me because I have been an overnight security guard for the past several years, and because of the way Scott Cawthon came up with the original game, as a result of a critic's review of one of his early games, which unkindly (but accurately) described the characters as "unintentionally horrifying" and "moving like broken animatronics". Initially discouraged, Scott ended up drawing inspiration from that to make the games based off of intentionally horrifying broken animatronics! It's the ultimate "when life hands you lemons, make lemonade!" story. Like you, I also move very quietly without even thinking about it. In my case, it really sets the stage to jumpscare people because I'm a big guy (6'5/197 cm) and look like I would be a lot louder than I am. Once, while working at a store before my security guard days (and years before the first FNAF game was made), I approached a group of my coworkers who were in a circle talking. I just stood at the edge of the circle listening until someone said something that I found interesting enough to respond to. Even though my response was in a normal tone of voice at normal volume, one of my coworkers, who had his back to me and didn't realize I was there, actually screamed in terror and jumped more than his own height! After that, when approaching any group of coworkers, I would say "Fee Fi Fo Fum!" to alert them so I didn't unwittingly (literal) jumpscare them!
@lauraconnolly66310 ай бұрын
Well, Them critics ended up inspiring him to create a truly creepy collection of characters with dark backstories and lore to boot. A lot of folks only end up looking at the horror aspects of FNAF but what makes such aspects really work? Is the fact that the animatronics have eerily unstable child like views and tendencies--- As they are... deep down? Children who lost their innocence along with their very lives. It is a manner of perspective. Mike saw the group as a threat as most would in the context of the possibility of loosing Abby... Yet the group most likely were so attached to the thought of having Abby as a permanent friend...? That they did not see the warped morality of subjecting her to the very same fates that they had suffered. They most likely figured : "Yes. She will indeed suffer and eventually die... Yet when she is revived? She will be forever protected and be forever our friend." Part deprived selfishness, part longing... such being very tragic indeed... yet so so... so very DARK! It would be amazing to launch the sequel with a slightly more matured Abby who may or may not have children of her own... and incorporate her/them into the storyline. Afton is indeed going to return. It could be that he wants revenge on Abby.. as she caused his façade control over the animatronics to abruptly drop... and instead of fully targeting Abby herself.. he.. could proceed to go after her children~ >3 Abby will have to face her demons.. and maybe Vanessa could lend more information to her , mike and such about more of the backstory lore etc. I mean, I ain't no producer, screen writer and/or director... Sooo.. I ain't gonna hold my breath for such.. But personally? I don't think it is a bad idea... Haha! Yeah! What a tale! We both have the gift to sneak up and scare the souls outta folks. It's happened when I have been in cosplay also. I just can't help but laugh! I also recall a place that I used to go to very often in my local area... A huge indoor play area with slides, swings, ball pits, rope frames, rock climbing walls and so much more. It was named "Scallywags." It was pirate themed and the main animal mascot was a Rainbow Lorikeet called "Lootin' Larry." (He was never an actual animatronic per say.. more akin to mechanicalized suit. (Thankfully not with Spring locks within! haha!) that had glowing eyes and portions of his feathers that did move independently etc. Now that I think back on it more firmly? I'd say, My man Foxy would have fit right into their crew! :D @@DamonNomad82

- Pros • Perfect opening • Good worldbuilding • Mike’s relationship with his little brother and backstory • Disturbing from beginning to end • The animatronics’ appearances are incredible • Foxy being the highlight of jumpscares • Springtrap’s surprise entrance in the final act • Coryxkenshin‘s two cameos • Fan service - Cons • Needed to be a rated R film • Not as scary as it should’ve been • Not enough screen time at Freddys • Decent acting • Rush plot • Vanessa is all over the place • Too short of a film Even though it’s not the perfect FNAF, I still enjoyed it overall. I’ll rate 8/10.
@jk84410011 ай бұрын
If it was R-rated it wouldn’t have been nearly as successful because almost 40% of people who saw the movie were 13-17. Making it R-rated you’d be cutting out 40% of the audience. Secondly, it doesn’t matter that it wasn’t that scary, it targeted mainly for younger audiences and it’s a great “gateway” horror movie which there aren’t enough of. Movies like this are what get people into horror movies, especially younger people, it’s got some scares and creepy stuff but it’s not too intense or gory. Like I said, a great gateway horror movie.

Vanessa being “all over the place” is pretty accurate for her game counterpart too because she’s a very mentally troubled woman. It’s not super far fetched for people with trauma to have mood swings and shifts in demenour.

The reason why Foxy is the highlight because Foxy x Mike fanproductions thing in the fandom, and Foxy is the favorite in the fandom for whatever the reason. Scott knows his fanbase's taste.

Cons that are wrong: - Rated R. First of all that wouldnt get even the half of the audience. Second, FNAF itself barely has any shown in it's games, never buy the VHS expectations. - acting (It was good, mostly Mathew) - Vanessa *had* to be all over the place. Remember her explanation? She was the eyes of Afton, she would have a close eye on them.

I agree with you on the jumpscares, I myself am a jumpy person that hates jumpscares, and for some reason not a single one got me. I'm also an editor and still can't figure out what it is that's not making it work. I think it's the stinger sound that plays is too soft. Like with Ballon Boys jumpscare, the sting was harsh and had an alright scare, but the rest just sound too soft and lack the abruptness to scare you.

As a fnaf fan after watching the movie I got to say that it was perfect. The reason why it does have such a lkw rating was because most of the critics expected it to be like the first game, whers you sit in a office where you open and close doors, check cameras and thats it. Honestly if the movie were something like that it would sooo boring! All and all I loved it 10/10.
