@rik73736 ай бұрын
@flynnieflapdrol1305 No, speakers and acoustics haven't really changed that much across the years. A big speaker is much better for the bass and a small speaker is better for the high tones. Also, the audio can be greatly improved by the cabinet that surrounds the speakers. Besides that, the tv only amplifies. So, the audio that you hear is already decoded via a computer and the tv just amplifies it.

It's very true for all CRTs and why most people's memories playing old consoles are much stronger than how they look trying the same on modern pixel-perfect displays. Games in the 80s-2000s were even designed around these older style sets and took advantage of color bleeding and scanline behavior to make them look really good. These days there are some clever shaders and OLED displays that can mimic a lot of those artifacts well, but I still prefer the originals (and zero latency).

I’m 8 days late but I have to admit this was awesome and I got a Back to the Future vibe watching a futuristic game on the very first Television’s of the past 50 years ago 📺!

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed. The trailer would definitely be the talk of the 1950s town if someone had seen it come across the airwaves from the future!
