Sorry to comment in a 4 month old vlog here but not sure if you check the old ones. The used clothes vlog was good, have not gotten on the yellow line yet but will make the trip. Question is, for the mrt, are you using your US card or a local bank card? If local, can it be the debit card I got with my account or do I have to get an actual visa card? Went to get the mrt card and was told by asok mrt they do not offer them anymore. Thanks. I ask you questions because, one, you answer them, and two, on facebook expat pages I usually only get long timers belittling me that I asked a stupid question.

I'm not sure about the MRT card. I use the BTS more. On the MRT I use a Visa credit card, or a US ATM/Visa card. My girlfriend uses a Thai Visa/ATM

In siem reap, mrt to srt to don meaung. So easy, no stress, and cheap. Sat at bang sue for almost 30 min after getting on train. Don't know the hold up, maybe that's typical but everyone should give themselves plenty of time for the trip. Security was a breeze though.

You waited for the train at Bang Sue for 30 minutes? Someone must have jumped in front of a train and stopped they line. I've ridden 500 times and never waited more than 30 seconds as a train entered a station. Even that is rare. I think it was just a one off.
