Hi again. I took a second look at your playtrough and noticed that at 25:00min. you moved Ripley in to the Airlock, but then you turned the Concealed token, instead you should have turned the Objective card before you looked at the concealed token, if im not wrong! Anyway I did my first Solo game today, with Ripley and Parker, and I was so lucky with a lot of steps left on the "Crew Morale" Track! Will try again with more crew members and also with Ash.

Just got this game as a gift from my boys. I had a quick solo game and liked it. This game is sitting alongside the legendary Leading Edge Aliens Board Game I have which, can also be played solo. If you haven't played it, I highly recommend it. Great vid by the way, very entertaining.

As an avid solo player myself, I appreciate these videos! A suggestion for next: change the setting behind you to match the game (moodier spookier lighting, for example) A house rule I always play by: in these types of games the game is trying to kill me, so I would have moved the Alien towards me, and not away (at 10:35). Paula, can you do the new Gargoyles game next???

Pick up scrap. the ship is falling apart lol I re-watched this. there’s a couple mistakes (the rule book isn’t the best though) Ash only picks up scrap when he enters a room, therefore he doesn’t take scrap from the med bay, in a similar fashion to a crew member not having to reveal a conceal token if they’re already in the room and leave the room You don’t draw an encounter card after you use the incinerator! This isn't a mistake just decision making: 17:45 Ripley could have fled into the airlock with the incinerator to complete that objective, and on your next turn pick-up the scrap and craft the motion detector… 22:10 however you were able to craft the motion detector in the workshop with the coolant canister, which if more interesting, so as it stands you could’ve moved into the ALIEN, lose 2 morale - 1 flashlight = 1 morale, then flee 3 spaces into the airlock with the incinerator to complete that objective, then draw an encounter card (since you moved into his space not the other way around - BGG FAQ) 24:40 could've used the motion tracker 2 spaces away to reveal the conceal token (gain an action if the alien moves there), however you played it almost correctly, you move into the room, then complete the objective, then reveal the conceal token (same result incorrect order) It is easier to win with one crew member but fun to see the self destruct tracker

I think there was a miscount at 10:08. The Alien was only 8 spaces away if heading towards the red ladder, not nine, so shouldn't have moved towards the green ladder. Which means you probably would have had to move towards Suit Storage instead of the Docking Bay as the Alien would have been up the ladder and waiting in the docking bay already. Fun playthrough, though. Has convinced me to get the game if I can actually find a place selling it that doesn't cost as much to post as the game itself :)

I noticed a mistake that Paula made through the episode. After she got the flashlight, when she encountered Ash, she didn't have to lose that 1 miracle each time because the first miracle that would be lose each time can be igored while you have the flashlight, unless the rules say that you're suppose to lost 2 or more miracle when you meet Ash at any location. I can't tell if that was right, but nice gameplay video nonetheless, and I'm glad she won the game.

Great video. One question - when you encountered the Alien for the first time at 11:30 by flipping the Concealed Token, could you not have moved straight to the Workshop? I think I am right that It was 3 spaces away by going down the ladder to Maintenance for 1 space and then 2 spaces to the Workshop. Granted you would have had to encounter the Concealed Token in Maintenance but it could have been empty, which it was when you flipped it at 16:03. I can’t see a rule that says you can’t use ladders when fleeing, and you could have been 3 spaces away and completed one objective.
