First, you remain the absolute best at the how to play video. My wife will not play a game with me that I can not explain in 5 minutes unless you have done a video. Thank you! Second, will you ever do a video about the behind the scenes work you do to get your teaches so clear? You are one man and thousands of board games come out every year, the math does not work--we will have to learn and teach some games without your help. Thanks again.

Ha! If time allows, I'm sure that's something I could cover at some point. I do have some details about that in an older video. The process is a bit different today, but it's not too far off: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6nWZ6NpqdakbMk

I'm glad they're utilizing bulding properties in a game that otherwise wouldn't be possible. Regular cubes or tokens wouldn't fit the purpose. Also, I already preordered the game (prior to watching your excellent video) not knowing too much about it, so I'm relieved it isn't just some roll and move type of game. Your video explained the rules thoroughly, as usual, so a brief moment to look up the rules when the game arrives would be enough to start playing. Thanks!

So it's possible to build a spiral, so long as you connect a part of it to the palace and have enough support beams?
@WatchItPlayed4 ай бұрын
It's a little tricky, because I can't see quite what you're imagining, but from what I believe you're saying: yes!
@TheMitchellij2 ай бұрын
You would need a lot of pieces to start from the bottom into a spiral, and it would be frustrating to effectively close the build off by circling back on itself

Hi, I would have a couple of questions about the rules. First, does the butterfly and frog block players, and does the monkey block the player who has the monkey special card? I would also like to know if you can get a bonus card from a column, where the bricks are seperated by arcs, but it still has at least 5 bricks, just not in a row. Thank you
@WatchItPlayed2 ай бұрын
Yep, the Butterfly, Frog and Monkey pieces block other pieces (it doesn't matter if you're holding the card for the piece, you can't move the piece off, until an action would allow you to gain the related trophy card and move the piece).
@WatchItPlayed25 күн бұрын
Updating my answer to your second question, as I've spoken to the publisher further about this, and no, the 5 bricks can't be broken up by arches.

Hi and thanks for this great video ! Just one question, can we build on the opponent staircase ? Thaanks
@WatchItPlayed2 ай бұрын
Hi Marie, there really isn't an "opponent" staircase. You're all building the same staircase/palace together. Know what I mean? Perhaps another way to put it: as long as you're following the rules for how a staircase is constructed, you can build it anywhere you like.
@marieb75612 ай бұрын
@@WatchItPlayed ok ! So we don't have to start from the board at each turn ? Just wanted to be sure of the rules before playing with my son, as i don't want any fighting along the way 😂
@WatchItPlayed2 ай бұрын
@@marieb7561 Sorry, maybe I misunderstood your original question. Each new staircase you build must start on the ground (shown here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn7HoZuHg9p7j7Mfeature=shared&t=279), but you had asked "can we build on the opponent staircase", so I just wanted to make clear that you can end up building on top of any previously placed pieces. But you still start on the ground. You might find it helpful to watch that section of the video again, just to confirm the details there. Have fun playing!

Hi, Rodney! Would you say this game's hard to disassemble and oraganize? I kinda wanna get some copies for my board game club students, but just gotta make sure it's feasible classroom-management-wise. Got almost 30 teens in there after all. Thanks in advance!
@WatchItPlayed2 ай бұрын
Aside from the fact that there are several small plastic pieces, I didn't find it hard to organize and sort. But what would happen in the hands of 30 teens is hard for me to predict. That said, the video should give you a sense of the components and hopefully give a sense of it.

Question - when receiving recurring deliveries if one is to receive 4 blocks can they do one column (3 blocks) and a single block? Also could you swap blocks for columns, or do you have to use the frog card to just take a column?

"knob" is the official term. If you're hearing "nob" that's probably a Canadian accent thing.

What happens if the decoration piece placed is tied for highest with an existing decoration piece of the same color? Do you still get an extra monkey credit because it's tied for highest, or not because it didn't beat the existing decoration piece? Thanks for the awesome video!

Hello, thank you very much for your wonderful explanation! But I've got two questions: First, if I include an arch between columns in a staircase, but the height of the columns reaches 5 bricks, can I get the banana cards? Second, if, during Deliveries, I can receive either two arches or two bricks, or one arch and one brick, but there is only one remaining arch, does that count as the end of the game? Look forward to your kindly reply!
@WatchItPlayed28 күн бұрын
I'm not sure if I quite understand the first question, but I am thinking what you are asking is: "do I only get the bonus if I was the player who added the 5 bricks to the column, on my turn?" Is that the idea (it can be hard to know, since you can't show me an example in the comments :). I believe you have to have added the 5 bricks yourself (not simply attached an arch on top of 5 bricks already in play), but I will double check with the publisher and get back to you. I feel like your second question is addressed in the video, so maybe I'm not understanding your question? kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn7HoZuHg9p7j7Mfeature=shared&t=1005

Question It is not allowed to place arches directly on top of each other. But what if there are bricks placed inbetween. So on top of 1 arch I place 2 bricks (on both ends of the arch) and then place the second arch. Is that allowed?
@WatchItPlayed20 күн бұрын
Nope. This part tries to further make that point: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn7HoZuHg9p7j7Mfeature=shared&t=395. Basically, your staircase will keep going up, but must be "advancing forward" as it does.
