Actually it shouldn't matter unless the battery goes dead because most cars from the last decade have a keyless entry fob and the fob activates the lock regardless of what cylinder is in the handle. The door was pretty much destroyed so it may not be recoverable. A locksmith could rework the cylinder for whatever key you have in less time than it took to watch this video.

I fixed quite a few crashed cars, it's almost always better to just replace those hinges, even if the hood is not bent too bad, it's almost impossible to get it aligned, not worth the trouble. If the main part is damaged, best to just replace those hinges.

I don't know why people were upset with the kid though, his dad was superchill with it (and he would know what his child was like with things like that) plus at the start the kid was even full of information about the Lambo's, so even at that age he probably has a healthy respect for them.

Kia typically only offers auto dimming / HomeLink rearview mirrors as a dealer installed option or bought as an "accessory" in their parts department. I have one for my Soul that I've not installed yet - they usually go for around $100 on eBay (new) and around half that for used depending on what features you'd like (compass, temp, etc.)... What that roughly translates to is there won't be a "factory" harness for the power - you'll need to run it down along the a-pillar or "steal" it from the dome light circuit.

@@dougbeatty4730 LOL. It's really interesting how the internet is soooo jam packed full of kia apologists. Can't tell you how many hundred times I've heard "they've really come a long way.". That's literally like saying, "my dogs shit tastes a little less bad than it used to." Tell me... When did this miraculous improvement take place? Yesterday? Cause last I saw, there were still millions of less than 3 year old models recalled for engine failures, vehicle fires, airbags deploying while you're driving down the road, air bags not deploying during collision events, sunroof exploding, brake failures, subframe rotting out from under 2 year old cars, fuel leaks, electrical failures... The list goes on and on. Bottom line, I couldn't possibly care less how much "better" they are. Having formerly worked in a dealership that had a Kia franchise, you're only fooling yourself if you think kias are worth buying. There's a hundred different cars out there you'd be better off buying than a piece of shit kia.
