confirm, this trick is really effective. especially with truck tires. Sometimes the tiny inconsistencies in the wheel and tire line up against you. At least that's how the old guy that taught me described it.

Also regarding 5:30, it's equally likely that the *wheel* is off balance. I had a motorcycle wheel where the heavy spot was opposite the valve stem. You adjust for this by spinning the wheel with no tire. Then you mark the heavy spot on the inside of the rim with a silver Sharpie. For that wheel, you line up the tire dot with the Sharpie mark.

All tires have a marked spot that indicates the heavy point. It is best to put that directly opposite the valve stem, as that usually minimizes the amount of balance weight needed. You could have also added Tire Pressure Sensors, they make a small display that you can easily find a spot for inside the car.

8:39. JR opening the lug nut packaging with the sawzall... I HATE THAT KIND OF PACKAGING!! I once bought a pair of scissors that was packaged like that only worse because the plastic was also heat/vacuum treated and super snug around the scissors. So I was cutting the plastic open with a sharp knife (carefully so I didn't slip and cut my hand). But after working on it with the knife for quite a while, the stupid plastic still didn't want to let go completely, and by now I was loosing my temper. So I dropped the knife and yanked hard on the plastic to rip it open finally. Well of course I slipped a little and cut my left hand open on the plastic, pretty damn bad! Still to this day, every time I use that particular pair of scissors I remember that stupid, stupid packaging...LOL!
