The big issue when a car gets egged is at the point of impact the paint actually becomes physically displaced, it creates what looks like a shockwave from the impact point. My brother had it happen to his car.

@@WatchJRGo That is because the shell material is incredibly hard. This causes the paint to break as the soft shell breaks apart, but the calcium in the shell breaks your paint.

My '16 Charger has a paint chip in the front clip where it was egged before I owned it. I'm the second owner; originally it was a "no-kidding" Detroit car (lease)! Didn't notice the damage when I bought it. Been trying to figure out what could cause that "splatter" for two years now. Ironically, now I know... 😐

Also got to add when my timing belt went out on my 04 a4 it looked like that maybe even worse and i was on my way to work and had to pull over and had 2 fire trucks and a ambulance behind me in a matter of minutes. I just had a new exhaust system put in for $700 by a exhaust shop just 2 days before. Anyways I felt like crap but it was what it was.

Please do a detailed Audi HVAC fill video!!!I I have 3 A6's. The gear selector switch is magnetic inductance. The topside sensor(s) likely aren't your issue, unless they were gotten into. If there's metal debris stuck on sensors or magnets, it gets a bit angry. This only happened on one car that I bought with a bad shifter. Use care if your remove the knob. The rod inside is PLASTIC with an eyelet. Button pulls out eyelet (dumbest design ever) to release detent blocks. I bought a used shifter but elected to not install it, as it's UNDER the sheet metal tunnel/car. I did dissect it to see how it works. Turns out a long 1/4in drill bit was able to obliterate the plastic rod altogether. Detents are still present, but blocks are disabled. I also obliterated the spring inside. Pieces of spring eventually got into selector sensors. I cleaned them up and swapped with some parts from ebay shifter. Car's been driving great for 3 years now.

The egg is better than rock's, or believe it or not bologna, because that stuff will take the paint off your car. Many year's ago I had a friend who broke up with his girlfriend, and she and her friend's plastered his car with it, destroying the paint. The sad part was that his grandpa gave him the car early for a graduation present, and it was a 56 buick, in excellent condition with the original paint, destroyed. Opening windows and sunroof with the remote is an awesome feature. Makes getting in my Saab 9-3 on a hot day, much nicer. Just drop em a minute before you get in it. It may be an option on your 9-5, you can set up those options on your 9-5 with a tech2, or maybe your autel.

I use Collinite #845 on my cars. This was originally made for electrical insulators to prevent overflash, which can happen if the ceramic is dirty. The thing is this stuff has INCREDIBLE shine! As good as the old Blue Coral Carnauba, but 10X easier to use.

@@Flies2FLL I used tons of collinite when I had my detailing business. Heat it up and stick a spray nozzle on the bottle and go to town. Holds up great. I usually just ceramic coat the front surfaces of my rides now to make the bugs fall off.

That shifter issue most likely caused by auction or towing company. All those no key markings are kind of a hint. Most likely they broke shifter or its interlock

That turbo kit is far more trouble than its worth. When the manufacturer couldn't even make their own product function correctly, that's when you know it's time to scrap that turbo kit. You should be enjoying the car.

You're better off using steel wool instead of a razor blade, the razor can scratch the window. The steel wool also works really good on chrome, it's what we use at the body shop to clean off overspray.

Remove egg from paint - white vinegar 50/50 mix & elbow grease, plastic ice scraper. I worked for a municipal bus company, every halloween we had "egg cars" cleaning eggs off the windows.
