Sounds like a well optioned car but it’s not going to be a big money maker I have two that are the same as it and they are going to be restomods . Costs around $80k to restore it and it is not worth that much when you are done with it. They only sell for between $40k to $60k for a fresh restoration. Restomods sell from $80k to $250k depends on what you do to them. Only takes a couple minutes to look at what is for sale and what’s been sold at auction over the last year.

Thanks for the reply Joseph I appreciate it immensely, don't mind me I am just an old school guy that appreciates old-school muscle and leaving things original that's just me though I do understand how much they cost to do a proper restore depending on how bad they are and whether they are worth it and of course a lot of those Vehicles sell for a lot more like you know for instance a Hemi Cuda all original matching numbers very rare there are so many rare cars out there but one thing for sure the more that we take them apart and lose the originality of them they will soon be gone. But yes I do understand the functionality of what you want to do with the vehicle me personally I like them original no matter what but that's just me if I was going to do a big swap I would probably hold on to the original matching numbers parts just in case but like I said it's to each his own and I respect that also please stay safe stay well and as always God bless

This brings back memories. When I was a young child my mom had a 67 Camaro RS/SS with the vinyl roof and the headlight covers. Very rare version of the first gen. That’s what started my love for cars. So happy to see one on the channel.

Remember rollsmoke? He chopped up a beautiful rolls Royce, made a big deal of entering it in cletus's burn out show, then blew up the rear just before leaving...then it vanished...
@Aries2G4 жыл бұрын
Yea i know i wasn't happy with roll smoke either. The only thing that made me stomach that was the cost of and rarity of parts. it wasn't so bad until he cut that dash for the iPod esq gauge cluster. Just with the fact he got a mind boggling deal on this Camaro and how rare and expensive numbers matching cars like this are ... this is just stupid from a financial , logical , spiritual and car guy perspective. Im never a mean person and never call names but ideas like this separate car guys from car smucks.
@dave11354 жыл бұрын
@@Aries2G with rollsmoke, while a rolls, it was really rough and not that collectable of a car. This one he has, it's perfect for a restore, and wouldn't cost that much as most of the problem areas have already been fixed(floor pans, quarter panels, ect) as long as they were done correctly.
@Aries2G4 жыл бұрын
@@dave1135 exactly thats why this one hurts. If i hadnt lost my job from this covid situation id pay 15000 to save this car from this fate. I mean a 427 is a good engine , id be ok if he swapped the manifold and put on a Holley efi with a cam upgrade. Just box the originals for the next owner because you know after he squeezes every cent of KZbin money out of this amazing vehicle its gonna be gone.
@mis-adventuresinwrenching87954 жыл бұрын
Normally, I don't try and tell another builder (and KZbin creator) what to do with their projects. But in this case I have to join the crowd, this is one you should bring back. You can build the original motor with period correct performance pieces and roast the back tires at will. Keep the original parts stored, and you will get WAY more attention with a warmed over Factory Correct 67 RS than any resto-mod. Save the LS swapped Resto Project for a rolling shell, and do the right thing with this one. Every nut and bold of this car is available still.

I used to own a 67 also in HS I graduated in 1982, we used to street race because that was the thing to do back then, needless to say my girlfriend wrecked it and totaled it into a ditch. Now that I’m older I have been looking for one. If you ever decide on selling it please look me up I’ll buy it in a heartbeat. Please do not get rid of the motor, if it’s a matching number motor it’s worth it’s weight in Gold. Please verify if it’s a Z28 because the first year Z28 were disguised as an RS and only 602 Z28’s were made that year. If so it is a Z28 the that car is worth as much as an original Cobra of that era. Once again don’t throw away the motor, just keep it in the garage and sell it with the car. Even thought you have a different motor in the car. You’ll be glad you kept it.

Another vote for original here. So many modded cars out there already that this one will just blend in. Originals are always stand outs. If it was missing some big items I'd say go for it, but you have almost everything there.

Here you go again. After the way you screwed up the Rolls, I thought you had learned a lesson. This car should be restored and made part of car history, not butchered for moment of fun. Have you no sense of history? If I had the money, I would pay you to stop this debauchery and save this car. If you ever had the privilege of driving one of these cars when it was new, as I did, you would never destroy it.

Man you should not tear that car up. You should rebuild that engine or at least get it running and see what it needs and put that thing back original. There's lots of restomod Camaros out there. That one has some rare options with the headlight covers and the air conditioning. I hate seeing people rip up old classics like this to make some kind of burnout car out of it? It just seems wrong man. Stop before it's too late.

@trainingwheels14084 жыл бұрын
Pull the distributor cap and clean the points. That's why you're not getting spark. Also, you can actually convert the existing AC system over to R134 with just a system flush, get the kit with the new fill fittings, replace the oil with PAG and replace the receiver dryer. If they are not leaking, the condenser and evaporator will work, just at a lower efficiency. Because of the old hoses, you will have to recharge it occasionally, but it will work, I have done it at least 6 times. I've owned 3 Camaros, a 66, 67 Rally Sport Z28, and a 74. All great cars I wish I still had.
