My reaction... Garish modernity which neither grips nor lifts the collective human soul. What drives composers to write material like this, where the instrumental voices seem to be in conflict with one another? Where is the concord, where is the meoldy, where is the thematic unity in a piece like this? In this style of composition, I see the nihilism of the present age... the loss of a sense of transcendence, a loss of the sense of the unity of human experience, the loss of a sense of the beauty and wonder in the creation which surrounds us. Even melody has been sacrificed on the altar of contemporary nihilism. Music of this ilk will be neither played nor remembered in fifty years... thankfully.

1. Uh... You *did* make it to 3:06 right? Honestly if you don't consider that section as uplifting then you have no clue what you are talking about. 2. This isn't the best recording out there (listen to the one recorded by the Korean Navy Band). "Music of this ilk will be neither played nor remembered in fifty years" Well... 'Watchman' was written in 1996 and the piece *still* appears on the state competition circuit lists of 13 different US states after 25 years and still gets playtime, so... We're halfway there. Looking forward to proving you wrong. See you in 25 years.

Are you so stupid that you know that no one is making you listen to it? I would imagine as you clearly think people will think you're a smart little thing by saying what idiots always do when things don't sound like 19th century harmony. Only your kind slammed what you think is the real right way to have music be. Just like they always have going back to the 18th century and earlier.
