For context, watch the movie. He kills a bunch of women to start with. The car is a specialized stunt car built specifically to let him kill any passengers and people in other cars while letting him survive. He tries to kill those three several times but since they're also stunt performers (the blonde is Uma's Kill Bill stunt double who did her own stunts here and the film is worth if for that aspect alone) they fight back. When they go after him, he cries like a bitch. I think they realize he's the guy killing women with his car and decide to kill him. Been a while since I've seen it but now I think I'll go watch it. Zoe Bell's stuntwork is phenomenal.
