Yep-started out in comedies-Black Adder-with lead role Rowan Atkinson, + Robbie Coltrane, Stephen Fry, Rick Mayall, Colin Firth, Miriam Margolyes, Gemma Jones and Miranda Richardson to name a few-back in the early 80's. The Fry and Laurie comedy team-Stephen Fry (who is also a fantastic novelist especially horror) and Hugh Laurie were all over the place long before that. But, hey, these guys have not got a clue.

Glad to find I'm not the only one who thinks that. Moulin Rouge astounded me. I discovered Billy Boyd could sing, like most people, because of LOTR, but his voice is much better than you really hear in the movie. He should have been near the top of this list, not an "honorable mention". The first time I saw "Evita"(the movie) I was shocked to realize that Antonio Banderas could sing. (I hadn't seen "The Mambo Kings"), and really well too. He was the best thing in that movie, to me. But speaking of "Evita", I was also surprised to find out just how good Jonathan Pryce(who played Peron in that movie) could sing, too; I had only seen him in acting roles to that time and didn't know that he often performed in musical theater on Broadway. Of course, it was no surprise to find out that Madonna was no Patti Lupone...

Billy Zane YES! I had no idea how well he could sing till I caught a "Charmed" re-run that he was guest starring in, and at the end he sang a song to Phoebe. I was really surprised, pleasantly so. He has a very nice "crooner" type voice.
