I love how B99 subverts the pervert trope like we've seen in Joey Tribbiani from Friends and Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother. Instead of showing us a sexually active maniac who's often very inappropriate around women and often gets his way, B99 shows us a creepy old guy who always gets denied, called out, shut down, or interrupted from saying/doing something wrong.

The hiding of Melissa's pregnancies (McClane is real! Sort of) and those of many other actors who film while they have a bun in the oven, becomes pretty obvious once you twig why they're always holding something big, or sat behind a desk, or shown from the bump up, but those tricks never account for the fact that it's not just the stomach area that grows during pregnancy. I can't point this out without sounding like a perv, but that scene with Amy and Jake in the copy room gives away Melissa's pregnancy, as her blouse is tight around her chest. And then, once the bump needs hiding so the clothes get baggier, you can still tell because her face is rounder. And, perv again, any time you see her from the back, her butt is bigger, too. If you still haven't caught onto Melissa's first pregnancy by the time she's shooting the prison scenes, the big giveaway there is that she hits, but no one really retaliates. They played it differently with Chelsea Peretti. She's hit by a bus, and has to wear the halo (baggy clothes again), then a few other tricks, not that Gina was away from her desk much anyway, but then they decided to write her pregnancy into the show, thus Gina has Iggy, and Chelsea has stepped away from the role to spend more time with her son.
