Andrew Ryan in Bioshock. Up until the confrontation with him, he's had a gathering list of reasons for his death. 1: Murdering Atlas' family, 2: Having insane, drugged up psychos hunt you down and 3: His horrifyingly brutal and violent nature when it came to those he disliked and mistrusted. Clubbing his skull in with that 9-iron felt good but the twist at that point makes it satisfying that you got vengeance for trying to kill you but also in shock at the revealed twist.

Final boss of Bioshock 1, and (instead of Zues) I think one of the other bosses in GoW deserved a spot. Can't remember his name, but he had a shield that would blind you, he was invisible, and when you finally killed him you got to slam his head in a door about 30 times. I'm not sure why David is on this list. Mainly because of two reasons: 1. He's not the villain. He's just another survivor that Ellie by chance comes across while hunting a deer. He makes things difficult for Ellie, sure. But that's because she and Joel killed a lot of his dudes, and Ellie turns down his proposal to join his group. David doesn't have any world domination plans, nor is he chasing Joel and Ellie from the start, because he wants to steal their gold or something. Yes, David is a leader of a group that eats humans. But to survive "by any means necessary", just like Joel and Ellie. Only difference: Joel and Ellie don't eat humans, but they sure kill a lot of dudes to survive. 2. Killing David isn't at all satisfying. Well, that's not how I experienced it. He's finally dead and won't bother Ellie anymore. But was she satisfied? Hardly. She just had the most traumatic horrible experience ever, that she will not recover from for a long time. And I felt for her. I actually nearly cried after she finally killed David. She's just a fictional character, but I felt for her. I felt this sadness come over me whenever I thought of Ellie and her struggle with David. She's a thought up person, but isn't it great though, that I was able to feel something. Even after I turned off the game. Not many games pull this off. Not like TLOU in my opinion. Too long, didn't read? 1. David = No villain 2. David's face being murdered = Not satisfying

Jaron Namir from Deus Ex: Human Revolution-(3 reasons why that asshole's death was satisfying: He along with his mercenary troops were responsible for the destruction/damage of Sarif Industries, kidnapped Megan Reed and her team and made everyone believe that they were murdered-(And possibly responible for leading to Vasili Sevchenko's death), and most of all, he almost killed Adam Jensen and leaving him in total pain after surviving the incident. To see Adam Jensen finally get revenge on Jaron Namir by falcon punching him into the glass wall for all the pain Namir caused to Jensen and everyone at Sarif Industires was one of the most satisfying villian deaths I've seen in a video game). Zhou Yun Ru is a close runner up for the most satisfying villain death in Deus Ex: Human Revolution as her death was also satisfying

RDR gives choice being cowboy or outlaw and surely then less then 5 Western "Cowboy" games besides Red Dead Revolver. In a Open World, it was perfect and different besides always too much open world city games. GoldenBear92 He didn't manipulate him, he gave him a proposal. The beasts were Dormin's pieces. he wanted to be whole again after he was sealed. and he DID keep his side of the bargain, Mono comes back to live, just like the bargain was. Nothing that is shown in Shadow of the collosus implies Dormin is evil aside from his devil horns, but that would imply the symbolism in their world holds the same meaning as in ours. Which is already shown to be not true throughout the game. Dormin said : "You kill those 16 collosuses, and I will revive the girl" Wander kills the 16 collosuses, and mono comes back to life.

Not at first. She only comes back after he is sealed inside of a now baby Wander. At first he wasn't going to revive her. He was going to use Wander as a new vessel to control now that he had all 16 colossi inside of him. He fucks Wander over in the end.

When Wander returns with the colosusses inside him, he is immediatly in a situation in which Wander is in danger. If anything he even saves Wander's life after the HUMANS were gonna kill him. Nowhere in the game does he says he won't do it, and even after being sealed he still brings her back. None of the things you are pinning on him are things we either see him do, or are even implied. In fact, we don't even know if he was going take over Wander if the humans hadn't appeared. he wanted to be whole again is all we know. And considering ICO appear after SotC, and involves horned humans being hunted down and sealed even while they haven't done anything wrong yet by a human queen, it seems to strongly imply that Dormin isn't evil at all, instead the humans that are leading humanity are corrupted. Nothing you are using as proof for Dormin manipulating Wander is stuff he actually does. He kept his side of the bargain, and aside from that we have no context as to why other stuff happened.

I liked Bane's defeat (I know it's not death but I'm just stating my opinion) in Arkham Origins. You fake kill him, get Joker to leave, revive him, so he goes super monster and tries to kill you, and after enough sneak attacks you just leave him hanging.

+spencerdiaz Not really. To me, it was REALLY anticlimactic with how the second half of the ending played out. Sure, it started out very well, with Lucien and his men coming in to, frankly, wreck shit up, but after that? With the Hero just happening to have the only way to defeat Lucien appear? With there not being any real epic fight against him? With the game telling you either you shoot him, or Reaver will? That all just felt cheap to me. Don't get me wrong, I understand it all plot-wise. Theresa probably foresaw with her visionary powers that the music box would be the key to defeat Lucien, as well as to give her more power. And the single shot to kill Lucien is supposed to be poetic justice, since he shot and killed the Hero's sister right in front of him, and then shot him through the window. But it just could have been handled SO much better! For example, have Lucien use his new powers to create some epicly powerful monster, maybe one to mimic Jack of Blades, or maybe even summoning his spirit as his guardian. Then after an epic battle, on top of the Spire, the Hero could walk up to Lucien, now powerless after the Hero used the music box, who would then try and punch the Hero, which, in turn, would allow the Hero to beat the ever living shit out of Lucien, before ending it by pushing him against a large window, pulling his gun out, and firing a bullet into Lucien's head, making his body crash through the window, and fall into the raging sea below. That's just something off of the top of my head. And is it perfect? No, but I think it's better than Fable 2's ending, especially since Lucien would kill the Hero's entire family (if he or she got married and had kids) and dog, and would even taunt him about it before trying to kill him.
