We run the world. The world depends on us and need us. Our economy goes into a recession, their economy goes into a recession. Their country runs into a problem, who do they turn to with their hand out? We are objectively the most important and consequential nation in the History of Earth. So yeah, when something happens here, it's a bigger deal than it happening in the middle east or BFE.

The "thank you healthcare workers" sign got me.... Remember when we were heroes for 2 weeks and everyone banged pots and cheered outside the hospital? That kicked off 4 years of the most verbal and physical abuse I've ever received as a nurse from my patients. I came home with bruises all over my body some days from being punched or beat. We were screamed at and cursed as" agents of the government that's spreading lies and killing people on purpose" as we worked mandatory overtime trying everything to save them. I almost forgot those two weeks of heroism until I saw that sign. Good times.

Right? Wtf happened that we all became the bad guys? We had a room where healthcare workers could go to and cry or unwind. They really need to offer free grief counseling for everyone who worked through COVID, especially the beginning of it. I worked in the ICU, we couldn't understand why we were getting so many patients with pneumonia. We got them through it only to find every other organ system was failing too. I've been a nurse for 16 years, I've never seen so many people die so fast. Still can't talk about my last covid patient death without tearing up. COVID crushed all of us, and while we're trying to save them, we're being attacked.

I was on the couch watching The Price Is Right with my gramma, when the feed was cut to report on the attack. We watched the second tower get hit on live TV while they were reporting on it. Prior to the second tower they were thinking (here anyway) that it was something like pilot error, or a complete loss of control of the aircraft. It wasn't until the second tower was hit that we realized that it was an attack.

A few days before 9/11 my older daughter, who was 16 flew the 4,200 kms (2,600 miles) from where we live in Australia to Bali on a school trip. My six year old daughter was distraught when she saw the footage of the Trade Centre buildings. I had to reassure her that her sister was safe in Bali and wasn't on one of the 9/11 planes. Ironically on October 12, 2002, one year, one month and one day after September 11 2001 there was a terrorist bombing in Bali. 202 people lost their lives, including 88 Australians, 38 Indonesians, and 23 Britons, along with people from more than 20 other nationalities.

Far out. all of these hit the feels. that summer of 2009 here in Melbourne was ridiculously hot. it was over 40 degrees celsius for weeks. the whole state of Victoria was bone dry that year because of the heat wave that seemed to go one forever. On black saturday it was about 50(that's over 120 degrees F). A lot of the fires were started by power lines failing on the day. The fire near my house was started accidently by a guy using an angle grinder. it was to say the least, bloody scary watching the black smoke and the fire a few kilometers away changing direction randomly with the wind blasting away. Full credit to the emergency services personel for the amazing work they did on the day and in the many weeks following.

Every piece of that event was so insanely bizarre, and it only became stranger and stranger. The Titan submersible deserved an honorable mention at best, but not to be actually on the list. The Indian Ocean tsunami affected people all over the world because of the numbers of people who were from those countries living elsewhere with family and friends still in the areas affected. My son’s daycare provider and her husband were from Sri Lanka. He, along with other members of their community, set out to raise money for their countrymen who lost everything. We have a pretty large Indian and Sri Lankan community where I live and they turned out in a big way to help. If I remember correctly, they raised a couple hundred thousand dollars pretty quickly. Anoma’s husband was recognized for his leadership in their efforts, not only here, but also in Sri Lanka. Their fundraising helped rebuild several towns and helped fishermen replace their destroyed fishing vessels.

When it comes to the 2004 earthquake and tsunami in Asia, I was half asleep when my dad rushed down the stairs to where my bedroom was, and said that there had been some catastrophic event in Asia somwhere. I had to watch it on the news, and later I realised that what I saw was something that no one had predicted before. I don't think I even had read it online before it had happened that day,and now when I see a documentary about it, it still feels just like the first time I saw the news flash. Just crazy.

I work as a custodian in a school, I remember Covid very well. Once everything was shut down coming in every day to clean the same stuff over and over again even though nobody used it. Then when kids came back having to heavily disinfect stuff when a kid tested positive, it was nuts. Now we are back to like it never happened.

And how exactly did the queen of England death make the world stand still?

They put Jan 6th on the list but there was only 1 murder that day and it was a 12 year veteran being shot by capitol police. They want to claim 5 died so they use the terms "as a result" and "in connection to" so they claim deaths that occurred up to 36 hours later regardless of the cause of death being natural causes and drug overdose. Ignoring the calls for security (by the chief of capitol police himself) and police that moved aside barricades and unlocked doors while informants in the crowd (that go unpunished to this day) orchestrated everything. But sure put it above terrorist bombings, Deepwater Horizon oil spill, Beirut explosion and las Vegas shooting that killed countless people...

Amen. This channel also failed to mention a large majority of those in attendance were undercover feds, as well as Antifa. They also failed to show the guided tours the capitol police were giving. The people who do this show are your typical gaslighting democrats who deal in delusions and not facts.
