No nigh infinite lives for real money. Candy crush and clash of clans? Didnt exist in the appstore in those days. You paid 79 cents for a game and you had FUN. Mobile gaming could be different...it just isnt. However there is still a lot of very good mobile games out there, you just have to know what to look for as they will never appear on "most popular". Also I wouldnt put mobile gaming at fault for gamings demise. Do you REALLY think noone would have come up with DLCs and microtransactions if mobile games werent there? Hardly. And broken games were around since the early days, look at ET. I agree however that it is worrysome to see how popular games can be and how rich they can make their developers despite being unfinished, riddled with microtransactions and/or DLCs.
