Mmm..... I see your point but... Honestly, Tekken 5 is an overall better game. It's legendary. I would have chosen dmc3 cuz it's one of my fav genres but Tekken 5 man...it's fkn Tekken 5! Or maybe not..fuck it, idk! I always thought shadow of the colossus was overrated until the remake. And i played that shit day 1 in 2005! It just didn't leave me much of an impression besides being cool as you fight these big monsters. Honestly I would give the goty to 3 games for 2005: Tekken 5, resident evil 4 and DMC3. I don't think I can choose which one is better. It's like making me choose between sekiro and re2 remake for 2019... .or god of war and monster hunter world for 2018..and even spiderman was there. The best part is that for these past 20 years Sony had at least 1 BANGER exclusive every single year. Can't do a video like this for Xbox, unless you drop the quality of games by a lot and have some smaller indies or mediocre games like halo4, halo 5, gears 4, gears 5 and a bunch of car games with Forza. Halo and gears have been completely irrelevant since the start of Xbox one generation and they have been carried by 3rd party exclusives and forza.

The PS2 ended up being the Nintendo Switch of its generation--underpowered when compared to its rivals, but sold so well with regards to its competitors because of the DVD player coming complimentary in a time you really needed the DVD player to play movies. So a lot of developers developed for it to take advantage of the massive install base. And better relations with third parties at the time.

?many still had VHS well into the 2000s. Most non gamers just bought a standard DVD player. It did so well because of PSone being already great and it’s ability to play PSone games and it’s peripherals. As well as having more games than any console and and a long life span.

Only feels like yesterday i was sitting at my friends house playing new games like Devil May Cry 1 and Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 on PS2? For 2005, Resident Evil 4 should be on the list. The fact that God Of War was mentioned three times during this countdown proves how intrinsic the series is to PlayStation, much like how Mario is intrinsic to Nintendo. Also, I'm glad Persona 5 was picked over Horizon Zero Dawn. All due respect to Horizon Zero Dawn, but when I first played Persona 5 back in 2017, it was the best turn-based JRPG that I had played in the past 15 years.

Being born in 85 the first console i remember is the Nes and the SNES is where I really fell for videogames so Nintendo is irreplaceable to the point where it's hard to even rank the company cuz through my whole life and still to this day they continue to give me experiences i can't get anywhere else..i remember in 95 and the first half of 96 i wanted a Ultra 64 more than anything..in the game mags they had these puzzle contest where u send it in for a chance to win a entertainment system with the new "Ultra 64" and being pretty poor at the time I figured it was my best way o get it so I kept sending em in until i played my best friends Playstation that is and it didn't take long at all before i damn near completely forgot about the 64..thank the gaming gods that Nintendo stood Sony up cuz as much as i love Nintendo the PS2 and PS1 remain my all time favorite consoles with the SNES in 3rd place...there was just so many damn amazing games including what remains my all time favorite game after almost 25 yrs: Final Fantasy VII of course...lastly I understand u probably don't want to put Metal Gear on here too much but No Way Resistance 2 is better than MGS4...it's my least favorite Resistance game though i still like it but it's not even close to MGS4... Insomniac only letting u carry two weapons at a time still irritates me..shooters should never do that

Got admit I was a bit on letdown demon souls wasn't on the list either the original or the remake, still quite solid list, thank god you didn't chose TLOU 2 over ghost of Tsushima, freaking mess naughty dog created and called a sequel Shame however how Sony is now turning it's consoles into dumbed down PCs all for money

If anyone has the playstation plus premium membership you can get sly cooper trilogy and partners in time on the ps5 in the classic games. I've got both sly cooper games on my ps5.
