How can you include Blue Peter and fail to mention Richard Bacon getting fired for doing coke? Surely that’s a bit more scandalous than rigging a kitten naming poll?

I think BBC News with Huw Edwards is something I can't watch anymore of because of that scandal but I can't believe the Huw Edwards scandal is not on the list of Shows hit with HUGE scandals.

Definitely weird that they just hung Bill out to dry. Considering their tacit support of other BBC employees doing far worse things. Didn't Bill's mental health problems involve him mentioning suicide though? They maybe thought it a bit too hot a topic. And could legally get shut. So took the easy way out.

It was squeaky clean Phillip that got me. From the cringe worthy coming out on breakfast telly to finding out about him firing a guy so his then boyfriend could work on loose women to his final dismissal - I saw him first in the broom cupboard with Gordon the gopher!!! I thought he was very handsome back then but now I see he's very manipulative and horrible!!

I always felt he overplayed his upbringing, his illiteracy etc and I always had a feeling he'd try to sell you something out of a suitcase on a street corner. Once again, someone championed by the BBC, gets a gong and contrives to become friends with The King. A real wrong-un.

Oddie is very standoffish. I 'met him', him in a taxi, driver looking for directions, circa 2006 in Stirling (directions to the classy Highland Hotel). I gave directions to the driver. Just before his 'free' taxi drove off, I looked over and was about to greet him. He turned away from my gaze, more than slightly appalled. Make your own mind up. Stay free and aware, Urban S. Rab ⏰ 🕊

@@RHR-221b I don’t care if he’s “standoffish”. Who knows what might be going through his troubled mind? He’s Bipolar and has suffered from crippling depression his whole life and had suicidal thoughts. I love his enthusiasm for wildlife and his recent-ish and past tv work. If he blanked me in person it wouldn’t change my opinion of him.

BBC won't show The Repair Shop because of something Jay Blades has yet to be convicted of, at least at the time of me sending this. In Britain you're meant to be innocent till proven guilty. Obviously not in BBC land though, and let's face it, none of the other broadcasters would be any different.

Noel Edmonds late late breakfast show 1986. A man died doing a bungee jump that went wrong, all in the name of entertainment. Also Top Gear. Richard Hammond and Freddie Flintoff almost both died in car stunts and James May suffered a serious head injury, again all in the name of entertainment.

If he's going to explode over melted ice cream and bakes gone wrong, I fear for the safety of anyone being in a relationship with him should they do something to make him angry.

What this tells us all is that presenters are just programmed to say what they're told when they're told - no real talent needed for that. Strictly is long past it's sell-by date, I appreciate the BBC are introducing chaperones (be interesting to know whether they are under orders from the BBC to play things down - especially as the BBC is reluctant to allow access to the filmed training sessions - continuously corrupt). Is the salary for the chaperones being paid by the licence fee payers? if so when were we asked if we were happy with that?
