James is slowly approaching the big leagues, hope he continues and one day gets some award love he was robbed for Split, and Filth absolutely flew under the radar. But the fact he was snubbed for Split is criminal, not many actors would be able to pull that character off. I can only think of Joaquin Phoenix being able to pull off James role in Split, he's well known for playing complex and disturbed characters.

Hell yes, I agree with the top five in exactly the same order. Given what little time is spent with Robbie and Cecelia together, the intensity of their connection still sells absolutely. I think why McAvoy's characters are so charismatic is due to his ability to play them vulnerably, making his Robbie right on the dime, and every other character he plays in the top five utterly proves it.
