It's a miyota 9000 with a bi-directional system and a ETA style micro adjustment plus ETA 2824-2 size, hand size and such specs so it's a drop in, since the M9015 is quite abit thinner that the 2824 I'm not sure if the added thickeness is just for the bi-winding and extra power reserve. Miyota is really the king of mass produced quality movements and the 9000 was made to replace ETA, I'm very happy with my miyota 9039 watch. A few drops of oil on the Toro bearing and no sound from the case (not a fan of display backs) but I have regulated it so on worst it's +1 but it would have been much more easy if it had the micro adjust. I think when citizen realised they had an amazing 4hz movement that costs 50 dollars or less that's very reliable they set up a plant in Switzerland. Sure the standard miyota only has 42h but it's 24 jewels and looks almost the same apart from the finish is very basic but it works great with no handwinding issuies and I'm unsure it will be fine for maybe a decade before needing a service or replacement. I think MLJP is into a winner is they price theirs properly and also do a version of the 9075 GMT. I'm not sure about soprod as I know they use Seiko tech but alot of microbrands dropped them for servicing reasons. No idea about the MLJP and not sure if they will make a thinner 2892A2 sized movement, but the G100 / miyota 9000 seems to be a good base for many complications like chronographs and such. STP movements im pretty sure are just seagull. 4hz TMI Seiko based movements cost a fortune. I think one of the best standard traditional swiss movement is probably Stellitas version of the 2892/3A2 as the SW-300-2 / SW330-2 it's 25j Vs etas 21j (omega sometimes uses 23j versions) but the Stellita has 25 so 2 months mainspring and 2 on the arbour but with the -2 the power reserve is about 60 hours (longer in real life but accurate to about 60) Also the -2 has fixed the sloppy hands and GMT / date of the SW330 You can upgrade any SW300 / 330 with just 6 parts you can get from Stellita or if you want to be lazy just the spring barrel so well worth the upgrade when you want it serviced. No idea why ETA / Stellita did not fix the 2824 a long time ago as it's a handwinder with autonad an afterthought. So for swiss movements I feel the MLJP is a great movement but most high end brands donorefer 2892 types as they are thinner and can be modified (some chronos are based on them in house longines 3.5hz are based on them and some chronosnare based on them also omega's coalial is based on them) To be honest I have had better luck with Chinese HKPT5000 movements over ETA and Stellita 2824s my most accurate 2824 is a Chinese one. My 2nd most accurate movements is a Miyota 9039 that was painstakingly regulated and my most accurate is a top grade Stellita SW330-2 GMT.

This structure is better than SW-300(56h) A31(72h) and C07(80h) those new generation movements because thoses three movement all reduce the thickness of mainspring to get long power reserve. Question: When we describe manual winding, and we say it takes X number of winds to fully charge the main spring, are we talking about 360° turns or are we talking about approximately 180° number of hand winds on the mounted watch? Between crown guards, wound by hand is maybe about 180° or so. This has always been a mystery to me and having watched at least hundreds of videos over the years, no one has ever defined this. Huge difference between the two definitions. Thanks.
@watchreviews4k2 жыл бұрын
It typically takes 40 clockwise winds of a crown to wind an automatic movement fully from the movement being stopped dead. One manual wind is circa 180 degrees rotation of the crown, rather than the full 360 degrees. Regards, #WR4K

The Synchron Ice Diver houses the G-100 movement, whereas The Synchron Military Diver houses the SW-200-1 along with all Doxa divers. For this reason, IMO, the Ice Diver is superior to the Doxas and to the Military Diver watches.

I consider the LJP G-100 to be a better movement than the SW200-1. Regards, #WR4K

Well, if you dig in deeper it makes sense because LJP is owned by Citizen and Citizen is well known for using Miyota 9 series movements

The basic technical design is exactly like a Miyota 9015. The only difference is the power reserve and a fine adjustment.

Thank you for watching. I have fitted the movement to my Ironwatch RX8004 which was PT5000 powered. It now has 64 hours, and is running at +2 seconds per day. See my latest video. Regards, #WR4K
