Tamara Kalinic UPDATE! My thoughts on Tamara rebuilding her CHANEL bag collection

Tamara never had a reissue that I can remember, and doesn’t like black bags. She has a black mini Kelly and had a vintage black Kelly but she gravitates towards colors. Her handbag collection videos are so fun to watch. Makes me so sad for her because she had a dream collection and seems like such a kind wonderful person.

Thank you Dacob for returning to your awesome videos. I was wondering about those cross stitched Chanel bags. I like a stiff flat bottom Chanel or a reissue bottom. Tamara’s bag is such a lovely blue and certainly unique. The rectangular mini is very versatile to wear cross body and crossing the straps on the arm, smart choice for her number 2 bag. The 2.55 is a stunning bag in mini and small. I have the light green 2.55 from a few years ago and I love it.

I agree with you Dacob, you definitely need a black Chanel bag eventually. The two pieces Tamara bought are very seasonal, yes beautiful but once her emotions settle down she may have ”buyers remorse”, I guess time will tell.

I have a beautiful Navy metallic Re-issue Chanel bag with silver hardware. Nothing beats that bag and the Mademoiselle lock. Not even my vintage black lambskin mini with rich gold hardware and the CC turnlock bought in Japan. When I see the new bags now I always wonder how it is possible to ruin such a great bag and still charge more and more and get away with it. I will never buy a brand new Chanel ever again.

Bwahhhaaaahhaaaa Yoda green - Coffee all over my screen after that little zinger! You are so entertaining and instructive to watch - love your quality analysis, especially the 255 and comparing corners. I'm not a fan of the green one but do like the color of her Blue Mini, and the fact that she's branching out to new acquisitions based on what she didn't own before. What happened to her was terrible, and I think that her new approach to be refreshing, I agree with your thoughts. Thanks for another wonderful video!

Hi Dacob. I agree and love my 255 Mini. However I had a weird thing. I purchased an authentic 225. I bought an inset prior to using and it didn’t fit AT ALL. I contacted my insert company thinking they had sent the wrong one BUT NO. Instead of 7cms deep it was only 5.4cms. That’s huge actually as the insert was 6.2 and the inside of mine was 4.4!!!!! It was truly weird. Definitely authentic but I returned ( it was 10 years old preloved). I only mention as you mention the 255 range is always exact. I love love 255 range. Anyway unsure if you’ve ever seen this previously? I had bought this to be between my mini REC’s and my jumbo. Of course it held less than my mini Rec xx

I love the reissue because it is more low key but it's the original Chanel! I love bags that have minimal logos and it being a case of "you know, you know" I also love the distressed leather. Your mini is so so cute. I actually liked the yoda green 😂😂

I have a question about your 2.55 Reissue Mini. I have 2 SA's at Chanel and they don't have the bag in stock. I see that it's available from a reputable reseller that I trust for between $4,500 and $5,000 in decent condition. What do you think about the price? I always appreciate your opinion!

Dear Suzy, I think that price is way too high and not a fair price. Don't forget that when the 2.55 mini was first released back in 2019, its price was aprox. $3000. Now CHANEL still makes the 2.55 mini but not with shiny gold hardware. They still make it with aged gold hardware and its price in boutiques is about $4000. So if you are fine with the aged gold hardware, I would ask an SA to order one for you (you might have to wait a few months before it becomes available but still... better than getting it at inflated prices on the second hand scalper market).

I do not care , Dacob, for Tamara bags. I dont expect much from her choices, looking at her style😳 but yours classic ones i love both. And classic ones , i always loved, but 255 i never care for, but yours mini it stole my heart 😍 ah they dont make this one anymore 😩😂 i will have to find this beauty on resale market. Maybe she was overwhelmed so she used her easy money to “restore” or “restocked” her collection. We were with my family on the holiday 3 years ago and we were robbed. “Just” money ( no notebook, phones, car, ipods) but that feeling was / is terrible. So I am not able to believe her, just one big fake. I understand that KZbin is her job but she is so unreal. And my first choice will be medium double (11.12) in black.... gold HW ..... leather I do not know , I Love lamb skin because it is soooo lovely to touch. And in the same time reissue (2.55) black, Silver HW, size 226 ( that is great size). And than reissue 255 black, gold. And I will be done. After these 3 bags it is just Obsession. And hunting.
