These "superfoods" series are fantastic! Pretty informative for everybody who wants to learn more details about nutrition. Quinoa is a very decent vegan protein source and does great work for proper digestion, so if somebody has problems with their bowel movement, quinoa is a simple and effective solution.

this was the most fantastic, informative video I have seen. Thank you so much for putting it together. I had no idea about Quinoa before this. I will be purchasing and making lots of recipes from your video. Thank you again!! One thing though, the music sometimes was too loud which made it difficult to hear the speaker clearly. Maybe you can have someone adjust the volume of the music over the voice...

The music in your videos makes me feel happy. I feel motivated to do homework and eat healthy. Thank You!
Every morning I eat quinoa & oat porridge with fruits, freshly pressed juice and lots of fruits. Sometimes I add some nuts and pumpkin seeds as a side dish :)

Oh and btw the woman's voice is lovely and the music is very calming and peaceful, and not overbearingly loud at all. Not sure why some feel that way but it was the perfect combination while I was learning :-', keep doing your thing +watchsuperfoods.

I cook it and blend it while its warm not hot with a little liquid. I use it blended for babies. Its also a good binder in mixes for cakes. I also add chocolate almond milk replace the liquid so when it cools off from blending it tastes just like pudding. Use the white for pudding. My kids love it.

Great vid. I love the way the recipes are shown, with the written instruction. Thanks! I did find the music a little distracting, when you were speaking, but it wasn't too bad during the nonverbal portions.

*Quinoa is a good natural healthy food, one of the rare few plant foods contain good percentage of essential amino acids(protein).* *However, don't let this common fact misleads you to think that Quinoa is one the only few best options to get essential amino acids from plant foods.* *You can get all the essential amino acids by combining a bunch of different plant foods such as whole grains, beans, nuts and seeds. Not only this way is cheaper cost by weight, also you get many more other nutrients than from Quinoa alone.* *Quinoa is expensive because supplies are in shortage, as more people jump on the Quinoa bandwagon, its market price will shoot up even higher.* *Quinoa is mostly grown in South America. The average poor South American people used to feed on Quinoa can no longer afford it because foreign companies are paying high prices for them and then take them out of the countries that produced them.* *The combination of low cost grains, beans, nuts and seeds are better choice than Quinoa in terms of nutrients, cost and humanity.* *Until Quinoa can be cheaply produced in large quantity, in the mean time AVOID QUINOA!*

No, I will keep eating quinoa, thanks. If the sad Peruvianeros and Bolivites can't get their quinoa, they should grow their own. Or an enact legislation that dictates a certain percentage of crops be reserved for the natives.

Beautiful, I love Quinua I was given a bag today straight from peru. but there was something odd about it LSS. it was poped quinua, and you need no oil to pop it. i've been eating it as a ceral with soy milk all day.

I love quinoa,but lately I have developed several food, allergies. my body does not tolerate gluten or dairy products,the last time I ate quinoa I had a reaction, I was wondering if it is gluten free?or maybe it was packaged in a plant where wheat, oats or barley etc. are processed or maybe It was something else that I ate earlier that day that made me sick. Fantastic tutorial, I hope that in the next few months I'm able to pinpoint all of the foods that's making me ill, because I'm sure looking forward to trying out some of your recipes. Thanks again for sharing .

Hey +watchsuperfoods, I am new to this channel and just on to the road to healthy replacements, but I say this channel will be a main stay in my strive for better. It is late 2015 and this video is still so helpful and relevant even being years old, keep up the good work guys, don't let anything discourage you on your road to growing and revealing more, and if even in doubt remember you helped and inspired alot of people to look at what they put into their mouths and really question what will this do for me, I am among them :-,. Also will be checking out the coconut oil video as far healthcare goes, and it's great you expand on more uses of these wonderful superfoods (I was thinking castor oil, it's multiple uses make it pretty super) keep up the fantastic work guys.- A fan.

Don’t forget boiling some quinoa draining completely then add a touch of milk butter and sugar. A much healthier version of cream of wheat that is off the charts delicious. Of course any and all fresh berries or bananas or walnuts or pecans or etc...

Abs loved your video, very well produced and explained. Just a comment to make even better, on this particular video about the quinoa, when you tell the history the music is too loud and i can not hear you well, I'm a Brazilian leaving in the UK so i'm not used to the American accent. But on the whole a great video, Very well done !

SiR0001 Yeah.. I live in Perú. Quinoa used to be the power food that fed our poor child and nation. Now it's so freaking expensive only mid to high class can afford to eat it every day. I will try to eat it often, without breaking the bank.
@SiR00019 жыл бұрын
JakU HakU Not all development is good development. When they start needing to buy.import all of their food from elsewhere instead of being able to eat what they grow, it causes a greater dependence on an increasingly unstable global economy. Because the Global South doesn't have as much clout as the countries who are established powers, it makes them more vulnerable to being taken advantage of my companies and sets them up to "require" aid and loans. They often end up giving up a lot of their natural resources and authority over their own lands in order to just pay the interest on these loans (occasionally these will also be in the form of conditions placed on countries in return for the aid money, much of which is not actually going towards the general people and benefit only the wealthier classes)

I agree! The music started to really get distracting while she was talking. It was way too loud and started interfering with my ability to concentrate on what she was saying. I found myself struggling to comprehend what was being said. Playing it back a second time helped considerably but that could have been avoided had the background music level been significantly lower. Who has time to listen to something over and over when it is almost twelve minutes long?
