my band MaelstroM (NY) had the absolute HONOR of opening for Watchtower back in 88 or 89 … i can't remember the exact date … cause I'm STILL in absolute shock over what i witnessed that night!! Incredible Band!!!!! and great great guys!!!

From Dark Angel, Sadus, Forbidden, King Diamond and Cynic in the form of musicians.. -to their influences in Watchtower, Atheist, Obliveon, Nevermore, Coroner.. -or the many bands directly inspired by them; Necrophagist, Obscura, Beyond Creation, Decrepit Birth etc. If only the proggy death & thrash bands had made a more lasting impact on today's bands, rather than Djent and Core. At least we fans can appreciate the underground.

Sieges even copied them in their first album it was horrible. Second and third sieges even albums were like watchtower plays rush and it was beatiful. Dont think dt copied them, they have their own music too commercial for my taste.

This idiot is definitely showing his age..(or lack thereof.) THIS was the style of that time if you remember anything about the 80's. It wasn't until the 90's, that the "baggy pants/underwear sticking out of your waist" look came about. ( Like that look is any better?)
