But I was listening to a long list of broken dreams and lives unloved. It is truly and bitterly sad that so many of us have had opportunities either lost or forced upon us. Dear Karl, I find your videos very honest and I find you a very kind man. The list of victims must be very very long by now. I am one and all my family are victims of the watchtower. Some are out like my self and my sister and some are in like my own daughter and my mother. And we all are victims, my mother is too old to change and she is trapped, the family relations are broken due to this organisation. I don't know anything from my daughter, she is probably married and she has cut all channels to reach her. I feel this organisation has broken us from the inside through our loved ones and poisoned us. We cannot protect our selfs when they infiltrate in our mids and corrupt the minds of our loved ones. I wish you a lot of happiness and thank you for making these videos, it helps us all.

Roque Tas same here. I'm not df'd but to be frank I may as well be, my parents? Still in but my brother married outside the jws so he was df'd. Naturally the parents don't speak to him. Alexandra James has a video where you can see the letter my mum wrote to terminate their relationship. Her words not mine. It's been so many years, and they haven't even met my 3 year old nephew as a result. But, of course all this is mine, and my brothers fault for turning our backs on god. If I'm honest I never believed in him, my bro is now atheist too so it seems ridiculous my parents don't speak to him because of their imaginary friend in the sky. Total idiocy imho!! Yes, aunt n uncle now live in spain, 1 cousin lives in canada, and 1 is in army. As kids they never had a choice, we had birthday & xmas cards returned, and they werent allowed gifts. Very unfair on children to be brainwashed

+Pamela Balbach - The JW's are just a reflection of the governing body which is 7 men who run the show. They bow down to their leaders & believe that they have a direct line to God. They do whatever they are told without questioning. The JW's have been brainwashed to believe that they need to work & obey to gain salvation & live in paradise. It's the governing body that needs to be taken down !

Too many JW's don't realise their critical thinking ability has been suspended. It can come as a bit of a shock when they finally wake up. No one is going to take my freedom from me now. 'Happy days' have replaced my 'happy daze'.

So glad I got my children out while they were still young. My daughter doesn't remember much, but my son still gets angry that I made him stand out of school plays and assemblies, making him different. They were 5and 6 when we left. I was not baptized. Their dad, my husband was a shinned JW attending meetings when he committed suicide. He really wanted them brought up in this and I felt guilty that I'd been opposed when he was alive and we'd had rows, even though our lives at home were lived as JWs. I never got baptized thankfully.

Wow, how sad. What a powerful example of the extreme control the JW organisation has over people, even after they've left. Your children lost their father and you lost a husband, yet the JW hierarchy will not accept any responsibility for this tragedy, nor will they change their policy. Well done for not getting baptised. I hope you've all been able to move on and find happiness and freedom.

l know just how you feel about being ashamed when it comes to things that your children missed out on, its with me every day. I left about 12 years ago...best thing I ever did. I remember being with a 'pioneer' once who had managed to worm her way into someone's house, the man tried to tell her his beliefs, she wasn't having any of it and just rambled on. Even then I thought how rude it was to to just discount what he was trying to explain but I've come to see over the years that's exactly what they do...every time. Its rather like bashing your head against a brick wall when talking to a witness. I love my mum very much but she's very much a victim and its so frustrating to have a normal conversation.

I enjoy your videos. I was raised in "the truth" and spent my first 22 years of life there. I was disfellowshipped & through a very humiliating and dehumanizing way was reinstated. At 22 I packed my bags and walked out. The reason I did it that way is to continue having a relationship with my parents, my father being an elder at the time. He is now the presiding overseer. 🙁You spoke about the lack of selection for a spouse. That is super true. I met my husband at 24. He was my first real boyfriend & we've been married now for 15 years. I have spent almost 20 years out but just last week I came to the awakening that JW is a cult! My friends, that are true than any JW I've ever known, are teasing me. When I told them about the cult they have all responded with "duh" as well as my husband. 😂 Please keep making videos they are wonderful and inspiring. Much love from North Carolina USA ❤️️

+Karl this was an elderly sister. she told me she put cash in the box(hundreds). later when the amount was told on the stage she knew it wasn't right because it was a lot less than what she put in. When she asked the elders about it they told her she must have counted wrong (gaslight). two ministerial brothers were in charge of counting the money from the contribution boxes (one being an elders son).
