It's simple. Wide lens, focus to infinity, use tripod, wide open aperture, ISO 100, 2 sec shutter. Try this, then increase or decrease shutter speed to get the right exposure. Cheers!

The water idea was great. You talked about dispersing the water more evenly. You could try using water balloons. The ballon would impact your back directly and might cause the water to spread more evenly.

QOTD - What about a black and white photography battle! You guys shoot mainly very colourful photos so that could be a really nice challange. Goal would be to kind of go back in time, get that vintage vibe. Rules: Viewfinder only Camera set to black and white via picture profile Jpg only, so you can't see your photo in colors You can edit photos in Lightroom to add contrast etc. Good luck!
