Hi, I kinda have no idea why this video got recommended to me, but I have a question. Why would you cool down your exhaust?

Welcome to our channel and thanks for the question. But first... Don’t know what your interests are or why it was recommended to you either. We post daily short real world boating videos that are of interest to new boaters and owners who are moving up to cruising boats with many systems as well as docking and other issues associated with boats of a certain size (without paid crew). To answer your question: you cool the exhaust so as not to melt the hose and set the boat on fire. In a car the exhaust is air cooled beneath the metal car. Most boats today are made of fiberglass which cannot withstand those temperatures. Hope this makes sense. 😎
