Wow. Pretty cool 😎 do you think it is better or more proficient than the Berkey?

Water cleaning methods ordered best to not as great: 1) Distillation 2) Reverse Osmosis 3) Strong filtration (Alexapur, Berkey)

The Berkey (and similar) water-filter is A Good Start. If you're drawing water from a murky well or a pond, etc, it's good to start with basic filtration. First just use a basic strain filter, like an in-line particle filter. Next, run that water through the Berkey to get the finer particles out. Filtered water is (usually) good-enough for basic usage like cleaning, bathing... but you do not want to consume it long-term. (It's good-enough for short-term or emergency use... but it's not perfect.) After filtration, distill that water to get everything else out. There are some things that go right through the filters. Think about this: IF a filter says it gets 99% of organisms or particles out, that means there's still 1% remaining. That might not be enough to kill you right away, but if it's heavy metals, they will accumulate til you reach toxic levels. If it's a bio-organism that gets through, you consume it and it starts reproducing in your system... and you get sick. DISTILLATION doesn't remove toxins from the water... it removes the water (evaporation) and leaves the toxins behind. (The reason for the charcoal filters is, some chemicals evaporate at the same temperature range as water, so they will evaporate out as steam along with the water. The charcoal filters remove them as they pour out. As I recall, the charcoal reacts with those chemicals and captures them.) So, start with a basic sieve, then use a really good filter... then distill. (Yes, you can just go straight to the distiller... but who wants to clean all that pond much out of the distiller after?)

Berkey is just a ultra expensive water filter. Water distillers rock!!!

you’re the real deal, making the water coherent is next level. thank you!
@WaveOvenRecipes14 күн бұрын
I did that for a while, but not any longer. And recognize zero difference. Clean pure water is sufficient. I am a bit leery of the coherent part, after deep diving into that. No pun intended. And, I did it (water coherent, they say) for well over a year. Not a short trial run. But, I have used the distiller happily now for years.

Hard to find distilled water in my area as of late. This seems like a viable solution to my CPAP needs. Thank you for showing me a new option.

I pre boil my water and pour that very hot water into the boil chamber. Takes exactly 4.5 hours from start to finish. I stop the process before all the water completely evaporates. Makes cleaning easier.

I think I’m going to get this for my carnivorous plant collection as you can only use rain or distilled water for them. I’d love to see a maintenance/cleaning video. Great review, thanks!

Great review. I've been thinking about getting this exact model for a while now. I've read about structured water or gel found in fruit/vegetables as being more useful to the body

awesome videos and info, thanks! question, i know you said the water never touches aluminum, but i was wondering what materials the water touches while going through the nozzle from stainless steel container through the carbon filter to the glass. is that nozzle stainless steal as well? don’t mean to sound ocd, just wondering. thanks again!
@WaveOvenRecipes11 ай бұрын
Steel and plastic, and i doubt you will find any with 100% steel.

And as it looks, the nozzle is plastic.

I just wanted to mention that when you get zero water when you test it with your device, it is only telling you about dissolved solids. It does not tell you if it has other dangerous things in the water that might possibly come through the small filters such as arsenic. A lab test would be required to determine that. Otherwise great video. I’ve been using mine for about two months with great results.
@WaveOvenRecipes Жыл бұрын
When you say "otherwise", if you hold it against me not getting lab tests, OK 😂 I am aware of what you mentioned, and that is why it didn't happen here, but anyone is free to take that step if they choose 🙂 Distillation is respected as the means to yield pure water. So, I will continue to say it 🙂
@dansharonumbaugh403 Жыл бұрын
No, I wouldn’t expect anyone to get lab test of their water unless they really have bad water. Just thought maybe some people are not aware that there can still be bad stuff in their water when they have distilled water.
@WaveOvenRecipes Жыл бұрын
True, if starting with typical faucet water it will likely be pure post distillation. But, if starting with bad enough water it may not go as well. If using other water sources: 1) Filter the big particles in a coffee filter. 2) Then filter the water in a standing water filter, like Alexapur. 3) Then distill the water. But even in those cases you don't want really bad water to start with. A bad enough source can be really difficult to clean, if at all.

Nice review. My question is My main use is for a cpap machine as well as a humidifier. I see that people refer to over 300 items are in the recycled water system we call tap water and minerals are added for some kind of health reasoning but we get the good minerals from food and vitamins or add what we need accordingly ect . Water was pure naturally before pollution and who knows what is going on with our water source these days so this is making water less chemically produced and naturally safe to drink as opposed to recycled water going into pipes to your home plumbing. Essentially this system of cleaning water takes the human filter equation out of cleaning recycled water/ tap water .Do you drink distilled and use only stainless or glass to drink from as we all know that plastic is not good. Thanks

hello! I have been using this distiller for a couple of weeks but my water has a metallic taste. is this normal? also I can see some tiny things floating in the water.
@WaveOvenRecipes Жыл бұрын
No, this is my normal: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4HFcpuhjJqbg6s
I researched how to make water coherent. Looks like we have a snag here. I quote rule number one in the making of coherent water: "1. You need to start with water that can be energized. Live water… not dead like distilled water." According to this, it isn't possible. If I were to start with live water, make it coherent, then distill it, the coherency is gone. So this pretty much negates the concept. Makes the whole process moot. Your input would be most welcome. I was ready to get one until I read this information. I look forward to your response. Thank you, Ron PS: I am pretty surprised that on one watching this asked this question previously.

After more learning, I have to say I agree with this take on the topic. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6e2pKp5otx7Z5o And, have been very pleased with distilled water, adding minerals via a very good magnesium supplement.

What about the fact that the filter packets are made of plastic? Doesn't that harm the water?
@WaveOvenRecipes Жыл бұрын
The filters are charcoal in a package, and you literally will not find a better process than distillation. All of which end with a filter, all of which are of similar design. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4HFcpuhjJqbg6s

@@WaveOvenRecipes So how does the water penetrate the plastic to go through the charcoal if the plastic is never opened?
