Most of our instruments are just percussion. So it may not sound nicely if we solely use our instruments.

@@EmelieObi hmmm I see, it can be achieved through augmentation. Fill up the orchestral gaps with foreign instruments while our local instruments serve as the lead instruments. Just thinking, this might be an ignorant comment though.

Besides Fela's music was written primarily for Western instrumentation. All his indigeneous instruments are percussion: gbedu ritual drum, shekere, clave, akuba congas are all percussion instruments
