Man. I've been cleaning windows solo for 10 yrs. now (traditional- squeegees & ladders) & just got a super sweet wfp set up from WCR. I've been eye guzzling all your wfp vids. marathon style and just wanted to say thank you for putting them out there! It's such a big help to get everything squared away in my head & learning the in's and out's to speed up the learning curve! Appreciate it Steve! Your a solid American! Would love a vid. re: pump set up for wfp and/or gooseneck set up👍! Take care & Thanks again!

I just did a house with bad oxidation. I washed the frames first and rinsed them well then did glass. Came out great! This is a great video. 😎

Down here in South Florida we get a lot of oxidation from the elements. I just do what you recommend, scrub the frames until the water is clear then scrub the windows👍 I always think the windows will dry and look like crap, but the windows always come out nice.

So I'm in Orlando and I find if I squeege I leave marks but when I consistently rinse...SLOWLY...the water dries clear i don't even have a filter Is this normal?

I've been dealing with a lot of this lately. It's been costing me time and I honestly was just wondering if I should just stop using water fed. I think I just found the answer. Thanks Steve-O!

Are you using a Univalve with your WFP? Our pole and brush setup is similar to yours. We are using a univalve and it pulls the pole hose very tight against the brush when you turn the flow of and on. It does not look like yours is moving when you turn the water off. Nice work and thanks for any input!
@SteveOthewindowcleaner4 жыл бұрын
Yes I am using a univalve, where the hose comes out of your pole at the top did you use one of the clamps there to stop the hose from moving from the brush to the pole?

So what water fed pole setup did you go with Heather?
@heatherthewindowwoman48354 жыл бұрын
@@travisleonard8783 Pure Water Power single RO/DI cart setup with a 35' viper pole and a 12" tucker brush. I'm not sure why they're not as popular as the Xero setups. They have an amazing cart model called "the little beast" which can run 2 high powered wfp without losing pressure. If your in or around Northern California CWC in Tracy has all their carts setups.
@travisleonard87834 жыл бұрын
@@heatherthewindowwoman4835 that is awesome... Thanks for the information! I can't believe you mentioned CWC I live in the Bay Area / San Ramon and I've used them since they were in Livermore. Much smaller selection for regular tools then window cleaning resource though. PS so helpful I might run that system someday even though oxidation totally sucks around here LOL!

Unfortunately most of my clientele all have these windows. However, in my circumstance it is the small cut ups, these windows I work with has more white from oxidation than window, lol. I am talking about hundreds of cut ups, my blue towels by the end of the day are magically transformed to white ones, lol... I have been considering a water fed pole to help , this video has definitely helped me secure my thoughts on purchasing a water fed pole, thank you!

Great info. I'll add this... You usually find more on the South and West sides and I prefer a softer radius brush. It seems to scrub off the oxidation faster and can be easier on wider and deeper frames.

Jamie Brasnyo depending on your areas TDS can determine what system you need...DI or RO/DI. windowcleaner.com/xero-di-package?pt=my This package would be a good place to start, get the basic carbon fiber and DI tank. If you ever just want to call me and talk about it further my # is 9705991437

Ya but how long did that take you?
@SteveOthewindowcleaner Жыл бұрын
Not long at all, way quicker then a ladder, once you get used to WFP nothing can beat it, most think thats a holy grail tool but its not, you have to be good with it to make it work

@@SteveOthewindowcleaner that I really don't know. Most people outside of municipal water supply have water softener systems where they add salt to soften the water. So places the water is so hard it has red color to it and will stain concrete.

Had the worst window cleaning job I've ever done today. I used the xero water fed pole and every window had the worst oxidation issue I've ever seen. The grids were on the outside of the window and each grid was oxidized as well as the outside frame....I've washed them 3-4 times each and never came cleaned. I eventually told them I can't and won't charge you for this.....I don't know what to do because they want their windows cleaned and I made it worse by poking a hornets nest of oxidation
@redpillnibbler44234 ай бұрын
Do a quick clean including the frames.Once mostly dried do them once again properly carefully staying away from the edges especially the top using low water pressure.The edges wont be great but 90% of the glass will be clean.Explain this to the customer (maybe give a discount price) Otherwise hand clean using a squeegee etc.
