Judging by that equipment it's on a well. Removing the equipment is likely a bad idea. But ask and you shall receive.

Wetness on tanks probably condensation as the well water is probably ~ 52*f and below the dew point on a humid day
@stevenlavimoniere3 жыл бұрын
the owner thinks them tanks were leaking and wanted the leak to stop .so removing the tanks was the first step to stopping leaking water on floor .he will probley have to put in a different water softener system

Hi Steve andy from Scotland just wondering why a lot of pipe work is not insulated in the homeowners houses.Its normal practice here to insulate pipe work to save heat and from freezing.Keep up the great work on your videos 👍
@monoralph13753 жыл бұрын
Basement is above freezing. Lots of heat from the boiler heating the space
@rileypup99713 жыл бұрын
All the pro press fittings going into and out the water filter but nothing supporting the filter except some steel wire on one side. Every time someone would replace the water filter the pro press fittings would all be cranked and stressed. Little telltale that the person operating the pro press is not a plumber you would recommend.
@stevenlavimoniere3 жыл бұрын
i put the steel wire in filter lol
@DAS-Videos3 жыл бұрын
Whoever installed the water filter was just lazy. It has a bracket on the back, can screw in a piece of plywood onto the wall and screw a 2x4 to the plywood for the bracket to screw into. Or, maybe just a 2x4 screwed into two studs in the wall, and then a shorter piece of wood screwed to the 2x4 for the water filter bracket to screw into.Those filters get very heavy when they fill with water.
@DAS-Videos3 жыл бұрын
I guess initially it was about .25" away from the wall, at installation time it would have needed a rectangle of drywall removed and a piece of 2x4 or plywood installed between the studs to mount the water filter to.

People who flip houses deserve every problem they run into, to be honest. Hopefully the market collapses AGAIN and they're underneath.

True, and if it was HIS house he might have done that. But he is going to flip the problem to some sucker. I hear that the home inspectors are not always warning their customers about some of the shit show features that they are walking into. They just want to get paid. Maybe neither ever gives "a sucker an even break".

I take it Steve that you don’t like the pro press. I watch another guy that’s in New York and he brags about how good it is. But I guess you just have to be a good Sauter person and not need the pro press. I guess that is for people that can’t Sauter well.

Solder is ideal however most conditions are not imo. Say you're working in a tight space in a wall and soldering isn't ideal then propress is nice tool in the tool belt. You talking about Mikey pipes?
