Is this water bag easier on the joints and is it softer than a regular bag?? I heard some one saying that it hurts more when you kick it or punch it?

What size bag is it. I need this for shoulder rehab after two broken clavicles and hyper mobile shoulders.(I am 43, but have the punch of a weak 12 year old. To small would lack the benefit but to big would bring more damage than benefit. It looks about 20 by 28 inches am I right?

how would this hold up if i made it a bit wider and deeper? is the aluminium beam a must for the aquabag? i'm moving in the near future... possibly to an apartment so i have to figure out how to keep things quiet as possible. my current setup is in my basement with a head hunter buoy, a polyform A3 buoy, a double end bag, and a micro double end ball. everything (save the micro ball) is attached to one of several I-beams (roughly 8" wide x 1' tall, spanning the length of the floor plan). I went to school for engineering and I'm a land surveyor by profession so I'm capable of design... but i'm no where near as handy or well tooled as you are. I'm just about to turn 34. i'm a career 135 pounder. i like to move, pivot, weave, work off angles etc. for my new place, i plan to get a ground floor apartment if I cannot find a reasonable house. my new setup will include the 100lb everlast hydroblast waterbag (it's the only water punch bag that isn't a rebranded buoy... they actually designed the shape themselves to where it has the similar shape as a punch bag but includes the rounded bottom for uppercuts. plus it's only 100$ at walmart). i plan to use soft loops on it instead of the chain to reduce noise. the only other thing i want to connect to it is my double end bag. i'm going to anchor it with a dumbbell as i always have. i'm going to replace my micro ball with the winning sb-9000... but that can be put up anywhere to that's irrelevant. any input or advice you have would be greatly appreciated! you do great work! i wish my dad was as supportive as you. your son will always remember how cool this was at his age.

This holds up very well. I put a 200lb heavy bag on it just the other day and there are no problems. I would have solid beams in the middle for anything of significant weight. You can also just use steel beams.
