Praying for everyone impacted by the hurricane. Great minds must be thinking alike. It's like you said, "Water is ESSENTIAL!" Hang in there Brother!!!

One of the first things I did when I started preparing over 30 years ago was to write a list of the most important items. Water was number one. Ways to store it, filter it and get it. I keep bottled water and portable filters in every vehicle and a filtration bottle and life straws in every go bag for my family. Those bathtub bags are amazing but a pain to sanitize after use. I got water purification tablets for ours. We had a wildfire knock out power to our community for 3 weeks last year. That event showed many in our community how woefully unprepared they were. I remember when I helped a group of people who were living in the mountains, and they just survived a flood. The irony was despite the fact that water was the soul cause of the destruction of their community, the one thing they need more than anything was fresh water, which they were able to receive in multiple cases of bottled water. Sad but true.

I'm not sure how it compares, as we have not had occasion to use it, since my BIL gave us a WaterBOB for the same purpose. We are lucky to have a water treatment plant nearby, although always good to be prepared. An AQUAPOD KIT or WaterBOB can be especially important to those that get their water from a well. Without electricity the well pump will not work. I know a cousin who had that problem after a Hurricane. I don't recall if he got a generator or not. Hurricane Helene was just so devastating for so many, not usually much that can be done to fight flooding or storm surge. My thoughts and prayers for all those affected. We need to do all we reasonably can to fight against climate change which is increasing the intensity, number, and amount of rain generated by these horrific storms, along with fires, etc.
