Just watched your tutorial and found it helpful. You can get a piece of packing foam, such as one in a computer packaging, and rub it across your old mat. It will clean it up a real lot, making it look much better for your future tutorials. Just a thought. 😜

Thanks for the tip! I'll check into that one. That mat is used only for cutting paper and batting - hence it's so scruffy :) It's my mat I've had since I started quilting in 2011. I have a larger "good" mat (i.e. clean and tidy!) that sits next to it that I use for cutting my fresh fabric on - don't worry, my rotary cutter and good fabric gets treated well ;)

Kristy thank you so much for taking your time to create this tutorial. I started In the Garden this month and it's only my third time paper piecing and watching you has been super helpful! I made the Bouquet block over the weekend, and he is a bit wonky in a couple of places, but you can't tell from a couple feet away - and that works for me! I'm so excited to work through all your gorgeous blocks over the coming months. Thank you for sharing your talent!

I have those snips and love them. I put them on a lanyard and keep them around my neck. Thanks for your video!

Gorgeous! Truly wonderful information about getting the right size fabric pieces for each section. Your tutorial is really brilliant. Thank you so much for your video. Oh lastly what stitch size are you using? ❤❤😊

Oh gosh sorry Julie I didn't catch this comment til now. I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful! I dial my stitch length down to 1.4, but you can get away with 1.5 easily enough too :)
