Awesome! Thank you for making this video!! It's exactly what I'm working on right now!!! Only difference is that I'm splitting it in the basement and bringing a hot and cold up thru for each sink in the 6" wall... I will be using the 3" x 1/2" chrome nipples to attach the shut offs just like you did... Just wondering how deep the face of the drop ears should be? Flush with the studs? Or out a 1/2" more to be flush with the drywall? I'm trying to figure out exactly where to attach the supports for the drop ears... Thanks again! You guys rock!!!

It's call a PEX Crimp Ring Tool. You can purchase a few variations of this type tool at Home Depot or Lowes. Eddie

do you have to use water hammers with pexs? also do you have to use the manifold system?
@BathroomRemodelVideo10 жыл бұрын
We do not use any water hammers with our PEX systems. Yes you do need a water manifold if your using PEX for an entire new home project. otherwise just adding a bathroom or kitchen does not require the manifold. Eddie

Any problem with the left drain being far from the vent? I'm guessing the vent is behind the drywall to the right?
@BathroomRemodelVideo10 жыл бұрын
No...as long as the vent is within 6'-0" from the drain your good to go! Yes the bathroom existing vent is located within 6' behind the drywall. Thanks for stopping by our bathroom remodeling channel! Eddie

Why not run a second line for when that plastic line fails??

I love the fact you talk about the cold ALWAYS being on the right...Come visit me in the alternate universe. It is reversed in every place in my house except my shower.

Im planning to change our single vanity to a double (and buy a new vanity and sinks, etc). My house is run with copper (older home from the 70s). Can this PEX be used along with the copper or must I use copper and solder?
@BathroomRemodelVideo9 жыл бұрын
Yes it sure can. It's super simple to convert from copper to PEX, we do it all the time. Eddie
@harrisme289 жыл бұрын
do i need to do anything special to convert the 1 sink to 2? will there be enough water pressure?
@BathroomRemodelVideo9 жыл бұрын
No...you will simply split the supply lines into two lines for both the hot and cold water supply lines using 1/2" PEX T's which have 1 "In" and 2 "Out's" which will split your existing 1/2" hot and clod water supply lines into two water lines and supply both of the new sinks. I show you exactly how this is done in the Sink Plumbing Installation A to Z Video series available at the Bathroom Remodel Store >>> bathroomremodelvideos.com/

Hello Steven! You can go from cpvc to pex using a simple "push-on" style pex coupler...that is correct. Eddie

Regarding the drain,... is that 2 sinks going to 1 vent/waste stack? shouldn't there be another vent? Do they need separate vent? trying to do same set up but don't want to make mistake.
@thomaskblr14 жыл бұрын
I always thought there should be a second vent too. in a previous comment he mentioned as long as its within 6' of the vent it should be ok.
