Hi from California. Big fan and thank you for all that you do. My family managed to grow a happy, healthy, confident Sulcata tortoise. Your videos has helped cultivate our imaginations and assisted in providing the best for our shell buddy. You’re the best!

Tree gets water and free fertilizer from the turtle poop! You always remind me of my grandfather's teachings of think smarter, don't work harder than needed! He is a very inventive man, he has been a farmer most of his life and I have never seen anything he can't fix!

Kenan, thank you for going into depth on your answer, the timing on this question and answer is perfect as I just made a 15ft x 30ft tortoise enclosure for my sulcatas. I dont have a water feature yet but I am setting up a drip/spray system to water the plants in the enclosure including edibles like many Hibiscus being I'm down in Florida as well. I was thinking a concrete bowl and make it deep enough to hold some soil to soften the bottom, twice a day fresh water would flush it out. The long term plan is to make it a full screen enclosure and add an iguana. Thanks again Kenan and we are really looking forward to getting our Darth Maul cherry head.

Where do you get the energy and motivation To do this? You my friend are an example of not only love what you do! but inspire to do others as well. That is a true testament of grace integrity and willingness to be great As a human being that loves animals and nature!! Hats off to you sir!
@letsallgohome59365 жыл бұрын
You mention the agitation of the water...it seems most animals are like that. Even my cat won't drink from his water bowl unless he has no other source. He likes to drink from moving, living water, like my fountains, pond and of course the fish tank. Just natural instinct. BTW, love the videos and vlogs, a world of knowledge.

Can Sulcata’s eat wild onions ? I have them all over my yard and I need to know if they are safe or dangerous so I can pick em all if needed . Thanks buddy
@tobywright38235 жыл бұрын
Mason R wild onions are toxic to tortoises and turtles as they cause digestive problems if eaten in small amounts and more serious illness if eaten in quantity. It would be best if you pick them so that your sulcatas do not get ill. Hopefully I answered your question mason.

Nice video! It was cool to see all your different water features and to learn about the tortoise's mosquito repellent. Question: I have a Russian tortoise. Right now he's in a Zoomed tortoise house but my sister and I want to give him a bigger home. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we should go about doing this? Maybe some dimensions we could use if we build something, or maybe something else we could just buy instead. Also, any ideas on what I should put in the actual habitat, such as hides, decorations, or living plants? Any answer will be well appreciated. :)

Julianna T. If you have a big backyard and it’s properly fenced in you could but it there
@deadbettafish84935 жыл бұрын
@@harryjustharry847 That would be a good option, but I live in Ohio and the weather hear isn't too good for an outdoor enclosure. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I mean if the weather doesn’t take and you have the time and resources, I don’t think you could go wrong with a tortoise table :)
