Hey Kenan, loved this video! So informative! I just got back from Australia where I got the chance to meet an Aldabra tortoise and a Galapagos tortoise! These two experiences were so incredible!! I will forever cherish my time with those glorious creatures and am so jealous of your life! haha I plan to go back to Aus, and hope to meet the same two tortoises I met while there! Thank you for your amazing and inspirational videos, please keep it up!

You can buy massive bags of Timothy and orchard grass pellets at feed stores, you can feed this to grassland tortoises when it’s winter when they can’t go outside. Soak the pellets and mix it with hay, dust with calcium and vitamin supplements, and your set. This works for grassland tortoises, offer vegetables too.

@KanpKenan, Moringa trees grow very well in south Florida. They are a natural laxative for animals & people. Just feed the leaves to your tortoises or eat them yourself. Most all of the plant is edible... I grows very fast in Summer. Get a cutting & plant it. Very healthy for you.

Also good to know not all grasses/hay are equal either. Some grasses and hays are very high sugar, (e.g. Lucerne/alfalfa and kikuyu) and the sugar content fluctuates during the day and season. Some grasses are oxalated and stop calcium absorption and the animal will begin to leach calcium from their bones if they're not getting proper calcium and phosphorus ratio supplementation. So it's good to also know what type of grass and hays you're feeding. All your Hays and grasses have different mineral and vitamin content also, and too much of anything is never good either (e.g. too much calcium can lead to kidney stones etc)

I found a box turtle in the street the other day. Its a three toed eastern box turtle I have found out. She is about 3 inches long. We are boating in and out of the house at this time. Im afraid to let her go where I found her because there are so many streets. If I let her go at my house there is the flooding problem. I want her to be happy but I dont want her to get run over. My question is will she be happy if I keep her in an inclosure outside or would she be happier out on her own? Oh yea I live in North Eastern Oklahoma. I didnt mean to say im boating in and out now I was at the time I found her we do get water on the property at least once a year but not as much as a week or so ago.

Stoke Burner send her to Kenan if he’s interested
@stokeburner67305 жыл бұрын
@@KingKhan-dv7ze I would be happy to pay for that but I doubt he can handle every turtle thats found in the street. I have just been reading that your not suposed to move a turtle a long way from where you found it. Im only about three or four blocks from where I found this one and im on the edge of the city limits so I think im going to release her here. I dont know what else to do.

I have a question, can anybody help? I recently rescued a marginated tortoise with slight MBD (The shell slightly dips in the middle but is still firm) he had lived indoors but is now in an outdoor enclosure at my place, will his shell get any better? I know it can’t correct fully but he is still very young (3years old) and am wandering if he can still live a good life.

Hey, Kenan, I was wondering if KZbin works like IG- can you see if I liked your video? For some reason, for the last week or so, everytime I "Like" a video, the thumbs up isn't turning blue. The little thing pops up saying "Added to Your Liked Videos". But since the thumbs up isn't turning blue, oh- and your "like" count isn't going up on my end when I hit the button either, I was wondering if you are getting credit, so to speak, for my like. If there's any way you can see if I liked it, I'd really appreciate you letting me know. Thanks!
